Your Profile In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Consultant shall have the following mandatory skills At least 3 years experience in operations of realtime satellite instrument data processing systems Demonstrated experience in Instrument data processing of Level0 data and generation distribution of meteorological andor environmental products Demonstrated experience in Near real time data driven automated systems in large computer networks Significant experience of validating complex remote sensing data processing systems Demonstrated experience with UNIXLinux operating systems. Furthermore, it would be a distinct advantage for the Consultant to have experience with or knowledge of some of the following Imaging and sounding instrumentation for remote sensing spacecraft Development and maintenance of operational procedures and configuration data Programming Languages e.g. C, C and IDL Scripting Languages and Data Bases e.g. Perl, Python, shell, Oracle Spacecraft andor ground segment operations Communication protocols TCPIIP, MBSS Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems CCSDS formats Knowledge andor experience of geophysical remote sensing data processing, e.g. Image Navigation and Registration INR, radiometric correction, calibration algorithms and retrieval of geophysical parameters.
