Overview The holder of this post will contribute to all aspects project internal activities and monitoringreview of the relevant industrial activities relevant to the system performance of the Biomass mission up to Level 1b TBC products in the context of the design and implementation activities undertaken in the frame of the Biomass Project. The post holder will report to the MTGI Product and System Manager, Earth Observation Projects Department. The Instrument Quality Tool Engineer will work in the MTG System Section and will cooperate closely with the Instrument Principal Engineer, the System Performance and INR engineer, and the technical support from DTEC where necessary. Specific qualification requirements University degree Masters or higher or equivalent qualification in physics or engineering with experience in data processing of scientific instruments. Proven experience in prototyping geometric performance models. Experience in Image Navigation and Registration filters would be an asset. Candidates shall demonstrate good experience with software packages such as C, IDL, Matlab. Ability to work and communicate effectively in English. Be able to work independently and also work with colleagues within a team. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Devising a data calibration and processing pipeline and taking responsibility for continued development of associated calibration software and analysis tools 2. Writing and implementing ground software to process data from the ESA operations centre 3. Becoming familiar with the magnetometer flight software, and writing patches as necessary 4.
