For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for a Configuration Management Tool Support fm at Eumetsat. Tasks The EUMETSAT Technical and Scientific Support Department currently supports the maintenance and operations of the Meteosat Transition Programme MTP space and ground satellite system, the Meteosat Second Generation MSG, the EUMETSAT Polar System EPS space and ground systems, Jason2 ground systems and a number of Multi Mission facilities. The focus of routine operations at EUMETSAT is the provision, by effective utilisation of all elements of the space and ground systems, of timely and reliable operational services to Users. The EUMETSAT Technical and Scientific Support Department is also supporting future satellite Programmes including Meteosat Third Generation MTG, EUMETSAT Polar System 2nd Generation EPS SG and Global Monitoring for Environment and Security GMES. The current position is opened in the As Built Configuration Management Team part of the Technical and Scientific Support Department Generic Systems Infrastructure Division. The Key person shall Develop, document and administer on a daybyday basis the CM tool used to manage Changes and Configuration Items Develop, document and maintain all CM tool procedures and scripts aimed to automate and crosscheck as much as possible the applicable CM processes and working practices Perform the second level maintenance of the CM tool occasionally, first level maintenance as well Ensure the proper identification and archiving of software releases delivered by external or internal development teams to EUMETSAT operational environments Witness and crosscheck activities relevant to software installation on EUMETSAT operational environments Provide support to the management of source code and data files Participate in the definition, improvement and implementation of the Configuration Management processes and working practices During the Preparatory and Routine Operations phases and in the frame of the configuration identification phase, the tasks of the Contractor will typically include the creationmodificationdeletion and version tracking of following Configuration Items HW items computers, infrastructure, Comms equipments SW items including SW applications, COTS and associated Licences, ... Sound practical experience with Configuration Management tools as Administrator Serena Dimensions or Clearcase Databases programmingSQL Oracle or Sybase Scripting languages vb.net, Python, Perl or Javascript And more generally SW development processes is required.
