Description The Key person shall Develop, document and administer on a daybyday basis the CM tool used to manage Changes and Configuration Items Develop, document and maintain all CM tool procedures and scripts aimed to automate and crosscheck as much as possible the applicable CM processes and working practices. Perform the second level maintenance of the CM tool occasionally, first level maintenance as well Ensure the proper identification and archiving of software releases delivered by external or internal development teams to EUMETSAT operational environments Witness and crosscheck activities relevant to software installation on EUMETSAT operational environments Provide support to the management of source code and data files Participate in the definition, improvement and implementation of the Configuration Management processes and working practices During the Preparatory and Routine Operations phases and in the frame of the configuration identification phase, the tasks of the Contractor will typically include the creationmodificationdeletion and version tracking of following Configuration Items HW items computers, infrastructure, Comms equipments SW items including SW applications, COTS and associated Licences, ... Documentation including SpacecraftGround Segment operational procedures, manuals and guides Keeping up to date the mapping of SW items onto HW items. The Key person may also occasionally be requested to Administer and perform an endtoend tracking of Engineering Change Requests and Proposals ECRs, ECPs Act as the Secretary for the Change Review Board and Anomaly Review Board meetings, alternatively with other Configuration Management team members. Automate Configuration Inspection and Audits as necessary Issue Configuration Status Accounting Reports as necessary Attend technical meetings Participate in formal reviews. Profile In addition to having a University degree in Computer Science, the Key person shall have a minimum of five years experience in the field of Configuration Management, including build, deployment and installation processes on large softwareintensive highavailability operational systems. Sound practical experience with Configuration Management tools as Administrator Serena Dimensions or Clearcase Databases programmingSQL Oracle or Sybase Scripting languages vb.net, Python, Perl or Javascript And more generally SW development processes is required. Practical experience with Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS Source code control tools CVS, SubVersion, SW development environments on UNIX would be considered as assets. The Key person shall have demonstrated very good communication and team working skills be able to conduct all activities in an orderly and disciplined manner, in particular when applying the applicable Configuration Management standards be able to work calmly under stress with the minimum of supervision. The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. In support to the Anomaly Reports tracking process, the Key person shall organise and support the administration and tracking of Anomaly Reports ensuring the timely closure of Anomalies and associated actions support Anomaly Review Board ARB meetings in the secretarial aspects, alternatively with other Configuration Management team members. In support to application software development or maintenance processes, the Key person shall ensure the proper identification and archiving of software releases delivered by external or internal maintenance teams witness and crosscheck activities relevant to software installation provide support to the configuration management of source code and data files. Finally, the Key person will be requested to Actively contribute to the definition, implementation and continuous improvements of the Configuration Management processes document owned by the CM team Actively contribute to the definition, implementation and continuous improvements of the Configuration Management Guides and Manuals owned by the CM team Provide diligent support to CM Processes and Tool usersstakeholders first level support, workshops, training sessions Actively participate in the testing of the new releases of the Configuration Management tool Occasionally, attend technical meetings and participate in formal reviews.
