The market is expected to recover in the next season, nevertheless. Demand from China is expected to rebound, thanks to duty-free access for Pakistani yarns, as of July 1st. The latest USDA data show that Pakistan is increasingly dependent on its cotton imports. 100% polyester yarn prices are now dropping in China, in line with the fall of staple fiber prices in the past week. Demand for yarns remains heavily depressed, and production is falling month after month. Yarn imports are also very weak with Pakistani origin benefiting from its duty-free access. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang).
