Spun yarn prices are falling across the board in India after polyester fiber prices have been sharply lowered in only three weeks. 100% polyester has heavily dropped and 100% cotton has also been cut in Tirupur, Ludhiana or Bhiwandi, although cotton prices have stayed firm. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab).
