Polyester fiber prices have sharply fallen in the past seven days and may be expected further tumbling in the short term, due to a series of factors analyzed in our weekly report. With apparel exports plunging and clothing retail sales declining, demand for textiles and fibers is rapidly weakening, as a result. India Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Yarn price offers have eventually been lowered in the past seven days in India, according to the latest results of our weekly survey in Punjab, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Cotton fiber prices are no more declining however, and margins could return to lower levels at spinning mills. India's cotton production is expected rebounding in the coming season, with cotton use slightly rising. Our weekly review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centers are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Yarn prices are compared with fiber prices offering latest trends of spinners' margins.

Pakistan Yarn Prices: Domestic and Export Markets (Weekly Report)

Cotton fiber and yarn prices are staying very firm in Pakistan, due to a new fall of the rupee having limited the decline of import prices in local currency terms, our correspondent reports. Cotton, viscose and polyester prices are therefore kept rather unchanged, whatever their current decline on the Chinese market, and elsewhere. Our weekly review offers a comprehensive picture of the domestic and export yarn markets in Pakistan, with cotton yarns, polyester-cotton, polyester-viscose, polyester spun and viscose spun prices being covered. All these weekly data are available for download over a 12-month period.

Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Polyester chain prices have begun falling across the board in the last week in Asia, as PTA and PSF prices were eventually plunging on spot markets. Although margins have remained at high levels, operating rates could be lowered at PTA and polyester plants, as demand has sharply declined from downward textile producers expecting lower prices in the coming period. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Yarn prices are now clearly falling in China, on both domestic and import markets. The sharp decline of cotton and polyester fiber prices in the last seven days has depressed demand, as buyers expect yarn prices will further decline in the coming period. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for cotton yarns. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared.
