Spun yarn prices have begun dropping across the board in China, in line with a decline of fiber prices. Spinners are forced immediately lowering their offers, being confronted with high inventory levels after a disappointing peak season. Raw material costs of polyester producers have remained firm in the past seven days, due to tight supply in India. New PTA capacities will however be launched in the coming period in China, which could result in lower prices.
