Spun yarn prices have clearly fallen in the last weeks in India over a new drop of cotton and polyester fiber prices. Demand remains relatively weak after the rupee has further risen, in addition. A lower cotton production than expected could however boost cotton fiber prices, already maintained above official minimum levels by state-buying. Our review of Indian yarn prices covers the domestic and export markets, including carded and combed cotton, poly-cotton, poly-viscose, 100% polyester and 100% viscose. Major yarn production centres are covered with Tirupur (Tamil Nadu), Bhiwandi (Maharashtra) and Ludhiana (Punjab). Viscose prices have begun more significantly falling in China by contrast with the current rebound of petrochemical prices. China Yarn Prices: Domestic and Import Markets (Weekly Report)

Spun yarn prices have slightly dropped in the past weeks in China, over a lack of demand from processors. Fiber prices have stayed relatively firm or slightly dropped depending on materials. Demand will remain depressed until the end of trade negotiations with Washington and/or the end of Chinese holidays. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing and Shaoxing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose and blends. Import prices are also available for yarns from India, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Vietnam. Polyester Fiber Prices in China, India and Pakistan (Weekly Report)

Polyester prices are no more falling in China and could slightly bottom out in the coming weeks, over the current recovery of petrochemical prices. Demand remains however weak from downward processors and is not expected rebounding in the coming period. PSF prices have been lowered in India whereas staying frozen in Pakistan. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) on the domestic markets in China, India, and Pakistan. Polyester filament prices in China are also released, whereas the report includes a price comparison of polyester with cotton and viscose in China.
