Engineer, Network Systems Luxembourg Betzdorf Your Job The Engineer, Network Systems is directly responsible to the Senior Manager, Service Delivery for the design, implementation and management of mission critical IP production networks associated with Satellite based IP platforms, Internet Backbone infrastructure and media content contributiondistribution. You will have a dedication and commitment to providing a highlevel technical competence, professionalism and customer service. Your Responsibilities Implement and maintain high availability, scalable and costeffective IPMPLS production networks involved in the support of mission critical operations and customer service provision Support Fixed Data and Mobile Data Networks which are integral to MSC activities Responsible for provision of Level 3 network engineering support to Network Operations staff during office hours and oncall by rotation during out of business hours Provide and maintain a detailed documentation library for all IP networks under the responsibility of SES Services Delivery drawingsoperational procedurestrouble shooting guides, providing appropriate documentation to the operations groups Provide cost effective solutions based on operational, customer and budgetary requirements while taking into account currently available technologies Be proactive in implementing improvements to the existing network infrastructure in the drive for best in class service availability and reliability while meeting internal product requirements Manage vendors with particular emphasis on maintenance agreements, incident management and software deployment acts as interface between SES and all customers Manage allocated SES sites, hardware upgrades and capacity planning Your Experience Qualifications University degree in ElectronicsEngineeringIT or equivalent At least 3 years of professional experience in IP networking and LANWAN technologies including but not limited to Layer 2 3, network architecture and design At least 2 years of experience in IOS XR platforms ASR9000 At least 2 years of experience in Service provider networks Thorough understanding of ISP backbone networks Professional certification to level of Cisco Certified Network Professional Service Provider mandatory, CCIE SP will be consider as advantage Proven track record in the design, implementation and support of high availability IP networks in the Service Provider domain along with associated security, traffic management and monitoring systems, including detailed multicast and MPLS network design Good knowledge in MPLS, MPLSTE, RSVP, OSPF, Multicast and multicast VPN Experience in deploying and managing virtualization technologies VMWare ESX and Citrix Xenserver Experience in administration Linux CentOS, Redhat, Ubuntu servers Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible Able to read, write and debug shell code and other scripting languages e.g. Perl, PHP, Python Understanding of authentication and authentication protocols such as TACACS, RADIUS and LDAP Experience in managing IP Address Management tools and managing DNSDHCP servers and services Be able to understand and effectively interact with all stakeholders in the service delivery process Be proactive in recommendingimplementing improvements to the existing network infrastructure in the drive for best in class service availability and reliability Whats in it for you? Senior Engineer, Ground Systems United States Manassas, Virginia As the Senior Ground Platforms Engineer you will be responsible for testing and deploying satellite communications hubs and modems supporting both GEO and MEO constellations mainly based on Comtech systems. This position will work collaboratively with our partner vendors, ground platform architect, network architects, and operations team.
