Founded in mid2017, we have secured longterm funding and successfully demonstrated several novel prototypes related to laser transmission and efficient perpendicular solar concentration. Our mission is to make 10x more data download possible to meet the demand from the growing satellites market, especially smallsats, delivering more data from the earth orbit to the ground at higher speed. Role Responsibilities We are looking for a reliable and experienced Aerospace Project Manager with technical leadership skills to ensure consistent and highly satisfactory project delivery to augment our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing tracking realistic project plans in a fast paced, startup environment. Specific job responsibilities include but not limited to Managing all project deliverables to milestones, budget and resource. Ensuring work packages converge throughout the project working closely with a multidisciplinary team of varying experience levels. Managing risk throughout a multiyear project to ensure delivery and successful project outcome. Managing ESA European Space Agency interface, including project reporting, verbal and written communications. Supporting customer interactions for winning new work. Develop and mentor junior engineers in their project leadership skills and assist them in identifying and controlling risks to the projects progress. Review and update internal management and project reporting process, have significant influence on establishing new systems. Interested applicants may also consider starting first as a fixedterm consultant while rolling into a permanent role although this is less preferred. Required skillsexperience Must have Project Management experience from project definition to product deliverydemonstration. Familiarity with European Space Agency reporting and projectrelated processes. Experience with assessing and managing risks in aerospace projects. Have exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken. Exceptional presentation and customersupplier relationship management skills. Have at least a BSc degree in a science subject. Proficient English, positive attitude, selfdriven and interested in working in a startup environment Independent, quick learner, can structure and show initiatives to thoroughly evaluate and solve problems from different angles, proactively push progress forward Desirable additional skillsexperience Experience with different space communication architectures, working on space communion projects. Experience managing, participating in drone test campaigns flying payload and platform Experience managing Cubesat development projects. Experience obtaining Airspace clearance and interacting with aviation authorities from various countries. International logistics management experience for both personal and hardware. Familiarity with ESA quality procedures. Strong commercial, industry experience. Remuneration You will be remunerated competitively depending on your experience and skills. Location ESTEC, Noordwijk, The Netherlands Description PACIS3 Project Manager in the Telecommunications Satellite Programmes Department, Directorate of Telecommunications and Integrated Applications. Duties The PACIS3 Project Manager reports to the Senior Satellite Programmes Manager and is responsible for the management of all activities related to the PACIS3 Project, implemented in a Public Private Partnership with a European Operator specialised in governmental services. The PACIS3 Project Managers tasks include managing successfully the PACIS3 Project within its declared objectives, schedule and cost end to end implementation of the project activities encompassing the design and development, manufacturing, integration, testing, inorbit validation and pilot demonstration of the PACIS3 system and its components managing the relevant contracts in place with the satellite Operator and the Industrial consortium as applicable, including negotiation of contract changes as required closely coordinating with the Operator to ensure that the projects technical and programmatic baseline remains aligned with the Operators commercial objectives and with the applicable Programme Declaration closely coordinating with the industrial team to ensure that the Project developments fully meet the specific needs of the project organising and managing the ESA implementation team, ensuring that all project participants have access to relevant project information and are supported by appropriate tools and procedures such that they can execute their tasks efficiently and in accordance with the Directorates Quality Management System and the applicable Security Requirements managing overall the specialised engineering support from the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management managing financially all project elements in line with declared cost at completion and annual budget forecasts liaising with the Institutional and European Programmes Office with respect to its interfaces with Member States and European Institutions for the provision of the PACIS3 contribution as part of the overall PACIS Programme providing regular technical, programmatic and financial reporting to the Senior Satellite Programmes Manager, to ESA management and to the relevant Member States.
