Location ESA Headquarters, Paris, France Description Launchers Ground Segment Project Manager in the Assets Maintenance, Launch Range and Cost Monitoring, Launchers Exploitation Department, Directorate of Space Transportation. Duties Under the direct authority of the Head of Assets Maintenance, Launch Range and Cost Monitoring Division, the Launchers Ground Segment Project Manager is in particular responsible for implementing ESA contracts related to the extraordinary maintenance on ESAowned assets used within the framework of the Ariane and Vega exploitation phases, exploitation accompaniment programmes and Centre Spatial Guyanais CSG launch range exploitation, supported technically by the European Spaceport Infrastructure Office for the assets located on the CSG territory manufacturing assets, engine test facilities, launch complex and launch range assets on the above mentioned ESAowned assets, monitoring the implementation of the Agencys assets management policy on the above mentioned ESAowned assets, assessing technically the needs for extraordinary maintenance, the costs of extraordinary maintenance activities and the consequences on exploitation of modifications to the assets providing system engineering support on nonrecurring activities subject of the ESACNES CSG contract verifying upon acceptance of new ESAowned assets in contracts managed by STS andor changes to existing ESAowned assets that custody within STS is defined for their maintenance and, for assets made available to a third party, that the latters responsibility concerning the maintenance of the assets is properly provided for through appropriate legal instruments e.g. under LEA Article 13 for assets made available to Arianespace accepting the inclusion of new ESAowned assets within the database of ESAowned assets developed under space transportation programmes and activities and provide the Operating Planning Business Unit Controlling Office with the relevant inputs for financial reporting on the assets conducting negotiations and administration of the industrial contracts incl. activities funded by Arianespace, related to procurements under hisher responsibility supporting the Head of Division in proposing a categorisation of ESAowned assets, the asset management provisions applicable to Directorate procurements and the procedures relevant to acceptance, operations, maintenance and modifications of the assets supporting the Head of Division in proposing the management policy for ESAowned assets used in exploitation and exploitation accompaniment, in close cooperation with Operating Planning Business Unit Controlling Office, be they operated by the public sector, made available directly to suppliers or made available to Arianespace under the ESAArianespace Launchers Exploitation Arrangement LEA contributing to the preparation of the Ariane 6 and Vega C exploitation accompaniment programme as regards activities relevant to its domain of responsibility providing technical support to the Space Transportation Development Department, the Ariane Exploitation Programme and the Vega Exploitation Programme for all matters related to launchers ground segment assets development, acceptance, operations, maintenance, modifications and disposal. In the daytoday activities the holder of the post will interface and cooperate with the European Spaceport Infrastructure Office, the Space Transportation Development Department, the Ariane Exploitation Programme, the Vega Exploitation Programme, Arianespace and the industrial contractors.
