About The Role The Project Management Group of the Space Engineering and Technology Division has a growing number of ongoing and new projects which require Project Management support. This portfolio of projects covers a wide range of applications including Spacecraft Instrumentation, Space Physics, Earth Observation and Calibration Sources. We now have a new opportunity for an experienced and talented Project Manager to work on Space hardware projects at all stages of implementation from the proposal right through to inflight commissioning and calibration. Responsibilities will include managing projects andor significant work packages reporting to customers on all aspects your projects using written reports, Gantt charts and presentations managing multidisciplinary teams to produce project deliverables leading a team of specialists preparing proposals for future lines of work reporting project finance and schedule to senior management providing advice and training on project management matters to junior members of staff regular liaison with external customers a variety of space engineering and scientific support staff. About You You will be educated to degree level in a STEM discipline or demonstrate significant equivalent experience. You will also hold a recognised project management qualification. You will have substantial project management experience, ideally including aerospace experience, with proven ability to manage projects within strict financial and schedule constraints. You will have experience of proposal writing and making recommendations to collaborators and subject matter experts. You will have proven leadership experience, with experience of space science, space andor systems engineering, desirable. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence others. You will be highly organised with good time management skills. Cyber Security Project Manager

You will have the opportunity to manage and be involved in the EUFOSSA project, which is focused on establishing a process to assess the security level of free and open source software used by the European institutions. This position is based in Brussels, Belgium. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Project management activities following the Commissions internal project management methodology PM2 including requirements analysis, project planning, project follow up, subcontractor management, stakeholder management, deliverable tracking and risk analysis. Contribution and expertise sharing towards definition of detailed actions to pursue within the project to best meet the business requirements. Drafting highlevel project documentation in English, including regular project progress reports. Organisation of projectrelated activities including, but not limited to, preparation and chairing of project meetings, aiding in preparation of conferences, presentations, dissemination materials and applying a common look and feel to information arriving from different sources. Application of an internal project management methodology PM2 to execution of projects in particular related to cybersecurity domain. Customisation of the methodology to fit the needs of the projects. Mentoring of outsourced teams regarding the methodology adoption. Proposal of customisable adoption plans for different teams and needs. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a Master Degree in IT, Computer Science or related subject You have proven proficiency in English spoken, written. Basic knowledge of French is an advantage. You have a proven and extensive experience in project management of highprofile projects, including but not limited to the software development domain, with at least three having budgets exceeding EUR 500,000. You have a proven specific expertise in the software security domain, in particular deep understanding of the practical issues related to software security auditing, security governance and secure coding practices You are expert in modern software and hardware architectures and technologies, necessary for understanding and being able to describe, at different levels of abstraction, software vulnerabilities found within the EUFOSSA 2 and beyond and to assess the countermeasures proposed. You have sound experience in projects that have applied successfully wellestablished software engineering methodologies. Rapid selfstarting capability and experience in team working. You have drafting skills. You have excellent communication skills, presentation preparation skills and able to present in front of large varied audiences. You are customer and results oriented. You are a good planner and able to follow more than one subject at a time. You are proactive, communicative i.e. good listener and customer oriented. You have excellent knowledge of methodology standards RUP, CMMI, COBIT, PMI, ITIL, Agile. You have sound experience in establishment of contracting guidelines for projects implemented by external parties. You have experience in working with Open Source Software projects and developers, contributions to existing projects will be considered a major advantage.
