A vacancy for a Real Time Onboard Software Development Engineer mf has opened up at Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Data Processing OnBoard Software department. Your mission will focus on engineering activities and the development of onboard software on ground observation, telecommunications and scientific satellites. You will participate in cooperation with our customers to the definition of the software need specifications. You will be responsible for the following activities Participating in the definition of the development and validation strategy of the software in cooperation with the software business manager Analysing and defining need specifications of development and software test means Participating in development, validation and maintenance activities for real time flight software. Guarantying the application of the division development and validation processes in the concerned projects This position may require travels in Europe twice a month. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Qualified engineer or university equivalent, ideally with a specialisation in Advanced Systems, Electronics, Real Time Computing andor Robotics Initial experience in Real Time On Board Software Development Knowledge of programming languages, in particular ADA, C, and ideally JAVA Knowledge of the following fields would be a plus Real time operating system, execution, scheduling, analysis methods Good knowledge of object design methods UML, etc. Hardwaresoftware interfaces Knowledge and experience using software development tools Clearcase, VectorCast, etc. Knowledge and experience using operating systems, in particular UNIX and NT, as well as associated script languages Shell, Perl Knowledge and experience using Office tools Word, Excel, FrameMaker The ability to adapt and openminded nature Team spirit Interest for innovation and technical challenges The ability to take the initiative and work autonomously, Meticulous and analytical mindset, An advanced level of English and French.
