Your tasks Support to AIV campaigns for the Galileo Ground Control Segment Definition of test documentation including maintenance of the documentation Support to the preparation and execution of the NonRegression System Validation Test Campaigns Support OPSL1 and L3 teams for problem management, system restoration, vulnerability management and handling of security incidents Provide inputs to Service Asset and Configuration Management activities, including maintaining the configuration via the provided tools Support all milestone reviews related to the L2L3 maintenance handover and contribute to the GCS L2L3 Maintenance Service Support the design of endtoend integrated maintenance and troubleshooting environments for Galileo systems Provision of inputs to the release strategy for minor and major evolutions of the GCS infrastructure Your profile Engineering degree in a relevant technical field with min. 5 years of experience Experience in ground system AIV campaigns Experience in ground system operations Familiar with IT systems, like webbased applications and server hardware Experience in Linux environments, scripting languages e.g. Bash, Python and VMware Sphere virtual machines Knowledge of Galileo or other navigation ground segment would be a plus Willingness to strictly follow procedures and creative enough to find workarounds if they fail Ability to coordinate complex tasks over team boundaries Interested in new and exciting things, interested in constant learning Willing and able to travel for trainings and workshops within Europe An advanced level of English is mandatory, if not yet mastered the willingness to learn at least a basic level of German is expected EU citizenship What we offer A relocation package for candidates living outside Germany Focused Training and performanceoriented career development Competitive remuneration Opportunity to work in exciting challenging international projects. Position Reference 822 On behalf of ESA, we are currently looking for an Operation Maintenance of RF Payloads Systems Antenna Measurement Technician to work in its Site ESTEC in the city of Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Assist with the integration, configuration and running of RF test setups for evaluating the performance of RF subsystems or instruments for space application such as Atomic Clocks and Time and Frequency Test beds. Navigation payloads Linear and Nonlinear characterisation of subsystemsdevices. Life limited RF payload equipment. PIM performance, multipactor performance and high power evaluation. Remote sensing space born radar Calibration transponders. TTC and Communication test beds. Development of software using VEE andor Lab View for automated testing, control and monitoring of RF performance. MICMMIC integration using dedicated equipment such as wire and ribbon bonding machines, eutectic die bonding and testing using on wafer probing station. General laboratory support such as, general maintenance activities, calibration of the laboratory equipment, upgrade of test facilities, replacement of consumables, design of mechanical housings, thermal plates and test jigs for RF circuits, etc. Maintain up to date the RF equipment inventory list and control of lent out equipment. Organisation and maintenance of laboratory library, which includes operating manuals, test reports and general documentation. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Technical degree Bsc. Diploma or equivalent from a recognised Institution or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, with at least 4 years of relevant working experience. Strong background in the preparation of RF test setups, integration and testing of RF Equipment Active, Passive, timefrequency references and RF Payloads. Good experience with LabViewVee Pro and tools for automated testing, control and monitoring of RF performance. Good working knowledge of Thermal Vacuum chamberssystems. Experience in maintenance and calibration of general RF laboratory test equipment and instrumentation. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
