Turkmenistan launches own satellite system

(Telecompaper) Turkmenistan government has announced the launch of the Turkmenistan satellite telecommunications system, reports Trend. The satellite was constructed by Thales Alenia Space, with Space Systems International-Monaco acting as a partner. Several dozens of transponders are available on the satellite. Some of them will be rented to Space Systems International-Monaco. The satellite will also be used to provide VSTA-services in Turkmenistan.

RHEA is currently recruiting a Galileo Satellite System Engineer to support the Galileo Space Segment System team at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities This position will report to the Galileo FOC Satellite System Manager. It covers support to Satellite Qualification and Acceptance, from contract kickoff to launch, working in close cooperation with subsystem experts, such as payload and platform, as well as AIV and PA. The scope of work will include Technical coherency of the satellite system design, including system level budgets, system performance analysis. Satellite System tradeoffs in design phase based on subsystem inputs Satellites acceptance campaign and more specifically system tests. Satellite qualificationacceptance test matrix and test flow execution. Technical discussion raised through design and acceptance reviews such as PDR, CDR, QAR, AR. Timely implementation of fix from inorbit shortcoming. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least 3 years experience in full life cycle satellite system activities ABCDE Demonstrated capabilities to work in space projects with complex technical and industrial interfaces.
