Your main tasks will include Being in charge of endtoend engineering, design and development of next generation navigation systems with a focus on navigation signals Applying modern telecommunications technologies transmission, modulationdemodulation and codingdecoding techniques Developing mathematical models and simulation tools to support the system design Carrying out numerical simulations of the overall system, satellite payload, monitoring ground stations and user terminals GNSS receivers Carrying out numerical simulations of signal parameters and degradation of these signals under the influence of for example linearnonlinear distortion, radio interference and multipath propagation Supporting design and design simulations with laboratory experiments and analysis of measurement data. Space Systems Loral opens massive new satellite vacuum chamber

Space Systems/Loral has opened a massive new thermal vacuum chamber that bombards satellites with the environmental extremes they will face in outer space, including temperatures ranging from negative 292 degrees Farenheit to 212 degrees. SSL, which is owned by Canada's MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates , says the new test chamber is 27 feet wide and 50 feet long, can handle satellites that measure up to 25 feet tall and weigh as much as seven tons.
