GNSS Data Processing Engineer

Position Reference 149 You will have the opportunity to support the Galileo Reference Centre GRC Manager. GRC is responsible for the following Independent Monitoring of Service Provision Performance Monitoring of Galileo services. MultiGNSS Independent Monitoring compatibility Interoperability. Interface with Cooperating entities i.e. cooperating entities from EU Member States, Norway and Switzerland. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support development, implementation and optimization of GNSS data processing systems. Processing and archiving of data from GNSS networks, meteorological sensors, etc. Coordinate contractors on GRC site. Coordinateinterface internally within the GSA GSAHQ, GSC and GSMC and externally with EC, ESA, and Member states. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have a University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent. You have at least 5 years of experience in data processing activities working with various tools. You have handson Experience with GNSS Data Processing tools such as Bernese GNSS Software, GAMITGLOBK, GIPSYOASIS, BKG Ntrip Client, and IGS products. You have experience in GNSS related activities. You have experience in project management andor industrial procurement activities. You have knowledge of radionavigation satellite systems andor receivers. You have excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English. The following skills would be highly desirable You have handson experience of operating complex systems. You have programming Scripting experience with Matlab, CC, Python, and UNIX environment. You have knowledge of the GNSS Systems and PRS design. You have knowledgeexperience in one or more of the following areas Precise orbit determination GNSS Timing applications Innovative techniques for Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring e.g. ARAIM You have experience with working in line with EU security regulations, international security standards e.g. ISO standard 27001, and in Security Accreditation domain, in particular if experience in securityrelated matters of the Galileo programmes. Your Profile MSc or PhD in telecommunications, computer science, or related field ideally GNSS Experience with embedded wireless software developments in at least one of the following areas GNSS technologies e.g., FPGAbased receiver design, GNSS disciplined oscillators, PVT andor RTK andor PPP algorithms developments, etc. Wireless time and frequency protocols e.g., synchE or PTP over a wireless link Digital radio developments for wireless telecommunication standards e.g., 3G or 4G or 5G, CDMA, Bluetooth, etc.. In this context, the Security Department proactively contributes to the fulfilment of GSA missions by providing the security expertise and support in order to 1 achieve successful security accreditation of the systems, 2 secure programmes implementation and exploitation and 3 ensure a wide, secure and sustainable use of the Public Regulated Service PRS. TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The GNSS Site Security Engineer will actively contribute to the fulfilment of the Agencys duties related to the following main areas Security support to the preparation of the security accreditation files for Galileo services, system and sites Security engineering support to exploitation activities of Galileo Hisher main tasks and responsibilities will in principle include Support the security accreditation process of Galileo maintain the schedule of accreditation activities contribute to the preparation of accreditation files and security risks analysis for the exploitation phases and the associated risks treatment plans Follow up the tasks performed by Galileo contractors in the preparation of the security accreditation files for Galileo Support to the development, review and continuous update of the Galileo security baseline along the different service milestones, ensuring that the related security documentation is properly maintained Support to GSA procurements mainly those related to site hosting, infrastructure and operations and assess the impact of changes to the security baseline Contribute to the establishment and continuous update of the Statement of Compliance to the applicable security requirements followup to corresponding actions Technical support to the Commission, its GNSS Security Board and associated working groups when necessary MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
