Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)

Polyester chain prices have continued rising in the past week, with the paraxylene prices once more surging. September ACPs prices have been set at sharply higher levels by paraxylene producers and their leading customers of the PTA industry in Asia. Downward chip and fiber prices have been far from rising at the same pace than spot PTA and MEG prices. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
