Radar Systems Engineer As part of the systems engineering group, the radar systems engineer will work in a multidisciplinary team defining the architecture and the performance of payloads for remote sensing satellites. The work includes proposal effort, initial design and architecture tradeoffs, detailed analysis as well as integration and test of the full up payloads and systems. Specific requirements Thorough understanding of requirements management including detailed knowledge of a requirements management tool Experienced in the flow of radar system requirements to lower level specifications Experienced as a leader or key team member of a radar system design Assessed radar performance and engineering budget generation and maintenance for SAR systems Defined interfaces between units and subsystems for radar or similar equipment and between radar and spacecraft bus Familiar with the software process for embedded systems Can communicate across all levels of the company from manufacturing to management Experienced in troubleshooting flight hardware and software Experienced in supporting and presenting at design reviews Experienced in presenting complex issues to the customer Preparation of the technical content of radar proposals Working knowledge of configuration control Working knowledge of system engineering practices Experienced in defining technical scope for major subcontractors and providing technical direction Capability in the generation of SAR test requirements General requirements Bachelors or higher degree in engineering or related subject At least 15 years experience in radar design and manufacture or closely related At least 5 years work experience in space industry
