Polyester Chain Prices: PX, PTA, MEG and Fiber Prices (Weekly Report)
2019-06-24 15:24:03| EmergingTextiles.com
Polyester chain prices have clearly rebounded in the last seven days, being boosted by a need to replenish stocks which had been depleted during the previous fall of prices. Demand could however rapidly vanish if Washington and Beijing fail in finding an agreement over their trade conflicts at the end of the week. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.

2019-06-24 15:24:03| EmergingTextiles.com
Fiber prices are bottoming out in China with spun yarn prices further falling, as spinners are taking account of the previous decline of cotton and polyester prices. In Pakistan, the sharp fall of the rupee is protecting spinners from any decline of their prices, in local currency terms. Our yarn comparison report offers a comprehensive view of 30s or 32s carded yarns in China, India, and Pakistan, in local currency and US$ terms on a weekly basis over the last 12 months. 100% cotton, 100% polyester, and 100% viscose are being covered with all data available for download.

Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)
2019-06-24 13:26:58| EmergingTextiles.com
Cotton prices have further declined in New York, although with very different results depending on contracts. Demand is depressed from spinners on the international and domestic markets with participants waiting for the results of the G8-summit later this week, which should tell if China will resume buying cotton on the international market. Domestic markets are supported by tight supply ahead of the new crop. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India, and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
