We are currently looking for a Planning and Schedule Officer to support our customer in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Planning and Schedule Officer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will report to the Project Control and Administration Manager and be responsible for the project control as well as administrative functions and facilities that are necessary for the preparation and execution of one or more missions and or mission studies. You will have the following responsibilities Contribution to the preparation, development and maintenance of the overall schedule aspects of the projects missions, including all mission elements Advise on schedule and control methods Assistance in establishing schedule data interfaces within the science project and the various mission elements ground segment, spacecraft, payload, launcher Support implementing and operating planning and control procedures to provide full visibility on all activities related to the progress Participate in the establishment of baseline schedule and plans Perform schedule analysis through Critical Path Analysis, Trend Chart Analysis and simulations Assistance in the identification of potential problem areas and proposing mitigation actions, preparing reports as required Verification of consistency between the schedule of the project Prime Contractors and the ones of his subcontractors Support in the preparation of tender documents with respect to schedule requirements and participating in the evaluation of proposals Support the Project Controllers of the assigned missions and the Head of the Project Control and Risk Management Service in executing their duties. Support the consolidation of inputs for the Cosmic Vision overall schedule. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent Experience in the application of schedule management and control principles Good working background in scheduling Experience in the preparation, negotiation and implementation of industrial procurements Ability to establish utilize advanced schedule control techniques Demonstrated planning and organisation skills, an ability to synthesize information and a capability to work in a team environment Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Such positions may suite people with a project control background. Overview The work covers project control and administration support, general schedule control and document management tasks, as required by the projects. It may also include programme level i.e. aggregation of projects project control and administration support. As such, it includes the following main tasks Participation in the establishment of schedule data interfaces, baseline schedules and plans with the projects and the various mission elements ground segment, spacecraft, and payload. Preparation of detailed schedules for Agency undertakings launcher, test facilities, scientific operations Production of schedule reports, identification of critical items and problem areas Participating in cost at completion exercises Establishing documentation data interfaces and procedures for the transfer of documentation between the science project, prime contractor and other project participants Maintaining documentation database, registering and distribution of project documents as appropriate Consolidating inputs for the programme level overall schedule, production of reports and trend charts to enable programme level analysis Supporting data preparation and entry for PMIS applications, as required Provision of ad hoc project control and administration support as needed Utilisation of relevant local andor Corporate management support tools at both project and programme level Typical duties will include schedule, Planning Reporting Contribute to the preparation, development and maintenance of the overall schedule aspects of the projectmissions, including all mission elements. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants required a Masters in Engineering, or MBA, or equivalent qualification in Business Administration.
