Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Providing support on Marine Payload Data Ground Segment PDGS maintenance in particular anomaly correction and software release process Preparing and providing the support of the day to day operation and maintenance. Supporting necessary evolution including the necessary coordination of the data processing systems engineering for the related interfaces with the rest of the Sentinel3 ground segment. Being the focal point when it comes to integrating the individual SW Facilities into a data processing system, covering all aspects of system integration and testing, including endtoend testing of the production system. Settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least a university degree in the relevant discipline with 2 years of experience in maintaining and engineering of evolutions of large scale software systems missioninstrument data processing related. Experience in software development lifecycles Software debugging and profiling tools e.g. GDB, DBX, IBM Purify, Valgrind Source code control systems, preferably Subversion and CVS Competence in SW testing, unit test suite maintenance, automated testing, verification and validation. Tasks will also contain the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as the coordination with external providers of maintenance services. This may also entail the participation in the specification and development of specific monitoring tools for S3. In support to operations, the Key Person may also be required to provide on call support as part of a team of maintenance engineers, especially for the S3 commissioning and initial operations phases.
