For the location in Darmstadt, Germany we are looking for a Sentinel1 Spacecraft Operations Engineer at ESOC. Tasks The primary areas of responsibility for this position are the CBand SAR instrument and the Optical Communications Payload OCP but the candidate may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional subsystems or systems within the scope of general SOE services. Other areas of responsibility specific to Sentinel1 are Validation, test and operation of the MCS Mission Planning System Definition of the Mission Planning interface with PDGS Inorbit commissioning Responsible for the SAR and OCP NDIU PSS validation, test and operation LEOP support Responsible for Payloads, Power, Thermal and Deployables Essential requirements Spacecraft subsystem knowledge, preferably for SAR instruments or similar payloads Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Desirable requirements Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Some experience dealing with external interfaces Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites Other Information Fluency in English is mandatory Candidates must be an EU citizen or hold a valid work and residence permit for Germany. The Challenge We are looking for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer SOE to be part of the flight operations team based at ESOC in Darmstadt.
