We are currently looking for an Optical Development Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Optical Development Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is one of the leading providers of optoelectronic instruments and systems for aerospace and security applications. You will have the following responsibilities Conceptual development for imaging instruments Optical design of complex instruments Support in the development of specifications Support in the compilation of development and production documentation Use of complex optical design software ZEMAX Technical and commercial coordination of subcontractors Conceptual design for optical instruments adjustment and testing Inspection of innovative technologies w.r.t. their use for optical instruments. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in Physics, Optical Engineering or another relevant discipline Several years of experience in optical design and development Knowledge of technical optics and wave optics Very good knowledge of ZEMAX Flexibility, perseverance and commitment Very good communication skills Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
