The Technical Responsible for this service is the OPSGDS JUICE MCS Data Systems Manager. The key person may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, projects and activities within the scope of overall Mission Data Systems services. The primary areas of activity for the requested service relate to supporting the production of a delta specification requirements and design for the JUICE MCS based on M4C, and the subsequent implementation of the mission specific extensions so specified as identified for the GoNoGo decision. Key Responsibilities Contribution to review and update of the delta JUICE MCS Technical Specification UNDSSDD Definition of the architectural design of the EGOSCC based JUICE MCS. Support in identifying functional gaps between EGOSCC and those needed by JUICE MCS Identification of requirements which are considered generic to be done under EGOSCC, generic but to be implemented under JUICE MCS and to be repatriated at a later date in EGOSCC, and JUICE specific, which may or may not be made generic and to be repatriated eventually to EGOSCC Setting up of a development environment at ESOC for developing JUICE MCS Implementation of new EGOSCC based components to satisfy JUICE requirements Extending, configuring andor tailoring of existing MICONYSCC components to satisfy JUICE requirements Support EGOSCC and JUICE MCS Reviews In addition, the following deliverables are required and can be further detailed in agreement between SM ST and TR Delta JUICEMCS Technical Specification Software Design document and ICD of JUICE Components Implementations prototypes of JUICE Components and OPEN plugins and the relevant documentation. Adhoc Technical notes which may be required during the course of the development Attendance of technical and coordination meetings at ESOC. Supporting the preparation and running of ESOCinternal design reviews or workshops. Requirements The key person will be required to have the ability to understand and accurately predict behavior of complex systems The key person will be required to be familiarized with continuous integration activities and tooling The key person will be required to have excellent knowledge of the Java language The key person shall have concrete understanding of the principles of component based software engineering The key person shall have good working knowledge of the Eclipse development environment The key person shall have excellent knowledge of the ESOC Monitoring and Control Systems and satellite operations. It is highly preferred to have good working knowledge of the EGOSCC based Products definition in particular OPENCC and MICONYSCC. Location ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany Description Data Systems Engineer in the Applications and Special Projects Data Systems Section, Mission Data Systems Division, Ground Systems Engineering Department. The postholder will be responsible for the definition, implementation, acceptance and maintenance of mission data systems e.g., robotic mission data systems, mission control systems, simulators, SSA data systems.
