For one of our space customers in the Netherlands, we are currently looking for a Propulsion System Engineer. Its an ambitious, growing organization focussed on AOCS and propulsion systems. They have their own clean rooms and test facilities and deliver their products to all the wellknown space agencies and commercial companies worldwide. Tasks and Responsibilities The System Engineer is during the development process closely involved in all technical aspects and issues that occur with the realization of a design. The System Engineer ensures the timely and complete availability of all relevant technical information, distributes tasks and technical information to the organization to achieve this goal. Perform analysis and system design tasks Creating documents for the data packages for the different design reviews EQSR, PDR, CDR Managing the development schedule and associated budget Delivering input to Product Assurance for creating the Verification Control Document Creating test procedures Test coordination with the Test Department Giving support to Production and Test phases in the project The System Engineer is the contact person towards the customer during the project, when it comes to technical related questions. Experience and education University degree in mechanical engineering A minimum of 5 years experience in the space propulsion field You have a proactive, problem solving and resultsoriented attitude and are capable of directing, steering and motivating a group of specialists You have a customeroriented attitude and you will be able to translate complex customer requirements into concrete plans and thereby demonstrate understanding of the interests and political forces within and outside the organization You master the English language in speech and writing and you have excellent communication and presentation skills. Dutch will be a plus. Spacecraft Propulsion Engineer Architect

A vacancy for a Spacecraft Propulsion Engineer Architect has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Design of chemical propulsion system architecture concepts. Analysis of propulsion system performance at sub system and system level for both commercial telecoms and ESA satellite programmes. You will be required to generate propulsion system specifications and perform propulsion design, performance and analysis for chemical propulsion systems. Preparation of spacecraft system test plans, test requirement preparation, verification analysis including FMECA, design verification matrices and assessing test results. Concurrent engineering with system level interfaces mainly in the structural, thermal control, integration and test, attitude control and mission analysis disciplines. You will be responsible for technical documents and presentations in support of project technical reviews. You will be the author and owner of propulsion system technical specifications Electromechanical components, pressure vessels, Design, Manufacture and Integration therefore responsible for the qualified definition and subsequent changes to it. As such you will be accountable for review and approval of the AsBuilt and its compliance with the AsDesign standard, including review and acceptance of equipmentsubsystem test results, review of end item data packs and final technical acceptance of propulsion subsystem and justification to the end satellite customer. You will be responsible to develop and implement department toolsprocess improvement strategy in conjunction with objectives defined by management. As the Work Area Manager WAM for a given project you will be responsible for Onquality, OnTime and On Cost of the propulsion subsystem. In addition you will be responsible for spacecraft flight operations monitoring. Day to day you will be working closely with propulsion experts and engineering analysts to develop the engine design. You will also be working with manufacturing staff, machining shops and suppliers to ensure the components meet specifications and deliver schedules. DUTIES The postholder will report to the Head of the Propulsion Engineering Section, and will undertake tasks assigned by him on technical support activities for projects and monitoring of ESA research and development RD contracts.
