Responsibilities and tasks Within this position the following support activities will be executed Provide satellite level system engineering support covering satellite, instrument and platform level performance, functional and environmental aspects. Critically review and coordinate system level, satellite level, instrument level and platform level functional and environmental AIVAIT plans and procedures and support subsequent discussions with the industrial consortium on the findings by providing specialist knowledge on satellite, platform and instruments. This task shall be performed in coordination with specialist engineering support as well as dedicated AITAIV support from TEC. Coordinate the review of Flight Operations Manuals and Flight Operations Procedures in close cooperation with instrument and platform engineers, specialist TEC support, ESOC and industry operations teams. Support the validation of the Flight Operations Procedures, provide assistance and coordination to the preparations and execution of the System Validation Tests. Participate to the simulations campaigns in preparation of LEOP and Commissioning activities and coordinate participation of specialist engineering support from TEC. Support the satellite launch campaign. Support the preparation and execution of the LEOP and Commissioning phases as well as preparation for the routine operations phase. Profile You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters in Engineering At least 4 years of relevant work experience Knowledge of Satellite system engineering Knowledge of AITAIV Knowledge of definition and execution of test campaigns Support and documentation of failure, verification, flight operations, and validation tests Launch, commissioning, and operations support experience Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and a stringent schedule. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Task 6 follow up the GSF, SOIF and SECMON onsite qualification activities both at system and segment level, reviewing the evidence contributed by the developing contractor WP2X. Task 7 follow up the test campaigns, in particular for tests executed on site. This includes attendance of TRRs, witnessing of test execution, review of test results and ensure the timely delivery of test logs to the data processing teams. Task 8 follow up the closure of GSF, SOIF and SECMON related anomalies as part of the Anomaly Review Boards and NCRs as part of Nonconformance Review Boards, either at segment level internal or resulting from systemOPS activities external, ensuring that critical issues are solved with maximum priority and any Work Arounds are duly validated. Task 9 support the GSMC Operators in their operational validation tasks, liaising with the technical experts in ESTEC and Industry and ensuring the operability of the delivered infrastructure Task 10 participate, as requested, in Galileorelated reviews and technical evaluation boards, in particular contributing to GSF, SOIF and SECMON qualification reviews, intermediate DRB reviews, system and operations reviews REQUIREMENTS Masters degree in a relevant field and minimum 4 years of relevant experience Experience with the Galileo programme, preferably related to security monitoring or PRS functionality Experience in technical procurement and contractors management, preferably in relation to a space or defense system Experience in configuration management, including preparation andor maintenance of operational documentation and procedures Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
