Spaceopal is the prime service operations contractor for the European Galileo Satellite Navigation System and manages all Galileo Service Operations. The awarded European Commission EC contract to Spaceopal is more than just its satellites in space. Galileo Service Operations will provide highquality positioning, navigation and timing services to users across the whole world as a civilcontrolled service with guaranteed continuity of coverage. Tasks and Responsibilities The Spaceopal SPO KPI NRT Tool Engineer is a member of the SPO Technical Team. The role requires liaising effectively across all SPO teams and with other GSOp teams, promoting the related information transfer as for tasks described below. Processes and activities to be managed and overseen are primarily, but not limited to, the following Gaining deep knowledge of the structure of KPI and metrics of GSOP and the evolutions regarding them, agreed with GSA or expected or potential Mastering the use of the KPI tool adopted in SPO and knowing very well the entire chain of tools that concur to the KPI monitoring, control and reporting also at CTM side Data collection and producing the KPI Reports Reviewing any KPI violations and recommending any correction actions Analysing any changes to the KPI Regime including Validation Mastering the tool REALISM for NRT Monitoring of the service performance and system status Provision of an updated and periodical status of the system and service performance, highlighting possible warning HeShe will be responsible for the management of tools related to KPI reporting and monitoring as well as NRT monitoring of performances. Required qualification and experience University degree in a relevant field e.g. Commercial Engineering, Economics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics, appropriate high school degree or relevant work experience Experience in similar activities, better if acquired in Space or Defence programs, or in highly securitysensitive commercial sectors e.g. Finance Experience in the Galileo program, and especially knowledge of the Galileospecific accreditation processes and methodology, will be a preferential factor Indepth knowledge and experience of methodologies involved in the service level management KPI, metrics, calculation of liquidated damages Indepth knowledge and experience of methodologies involved in system and service monitoring The job requires also Fluency in written and spoken English Fluency in Italian andor German is appreciated Strong attitude to team work, great communicator internally and externally, even in demanding situations Handson mentality and systematic, selforganized, able to prioritize way of working Fluency in standard office automation tools MS Office, Email, Internet, etc. Knowledge of programming languages Work location Spaceopal Headquarter Munich, Germany It could be necessary to spend time periodically at the GCCD Oberpfaffenhofen, Munich, Germany andor at the GCCI Fucino, Italy. Tasks and Responsibilities The GSOp PlannerPlanning Engineer is responsible to create and implement in liaison with the Lead Service Delivery Manager a planning concept and to update it according to the evolving system and stakeholder requirements by introducing an adequate Software and process support. Heshe ensures the Service Operations by providing multiple but consistent plans for the daytoday operations as well as for the maintenance activities. The tasks of the Planning Engineer are Work in liaison with the Service Delivery Manager SDM Team Collecting all activities needed for Service Provision, planning the activities in three different timeframes, and keeping the stakeholders Contracting Authority and Spaceopal teams informed Interface for all GSOp Planning issues across all SPO teams Identifying and informing the stakeholders about planning conflicts, and suggesting solutions from the scheduling point of view Predefining plans for the different disciplines, like Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Mission Operations, Security Operations and User Service Participating to the Coordination Meetings as well as the Planning Meetings at the different timeframes and levels, by providing schedules and accessing solution to scheduling conflicts from a planning perspective Supporting the Contracting Authority by preparing the LongTerm Plan and the MidTerm Plan Information Interface to the Contracting Authority in conjunction with the Lead SDM and the Evolution and Engineering Manager Deriving the LEOPIOT Timelines in coordination with the LEOPIOT responsible persons in SPO as well as all affected SPO CTMs Supporting the Service Provision Prediction as well as providing support to the Key Performance Indicator Measurements Tracking each planned activity in the different timeframes and providing feedback Supporting the evolution to an integrated planning, configuration and resources management system The project schedule has to be respected for all planning tasks The arrangement of operations and deployment should also be scheduled by means of the planning system the same applies to the evolution releases The Planning Engineer should support the resource and availability management for scheduling a consistent plan Required Qualification and Experience University degree in a relevant field e.g. Commercial Engineering, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Telecommunications or Electronics Significant experience on operations engineering, operations preparation and execution Experience related to developments and operations in the Galileo project GIOVE, IOV, FOC will be beneficial Good communication skills and the capability to work in a complex environment with multiple layers of processes Strong attitude to team work, also leveraging resources not directly dependent on himher Good practical and analytical skills desirable Fluent written and spoken English, fluency in Italian andor German is appreciated Fluency in standard office automation tools MS Office, Email, Internet, etc. Work Location Spaceopal Headquarter Munich, Germany.
