The core tasks will be Establish a baseline for the usage of different Network Protocols, by analyzing System log extractions Define any updates of the Ground and Flight operational procedures as required, so that they comply with the cyber security requirements Define and create procedures for log extraction and analysis Provide cyber security expertise from an operations perspective to support the development process of the existing ground segment Routine checks on the Network Security Status and configuration based on ISO 27001 Standard Establish and maintain a configuration baseline for the system Offline TrendAnalysis with Splunk on extracted logs Analysis on the System Hardening Status Provide support to the integration, testing and handover from equipment developers to the operational chain, in order to validate the closure of any identified vulnerabilities Assess the impact on operational products and processes from any new system configuration Preparation of security analysis reports. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be latest 1st September 2021 LOCATION ESAESOC Darmstadt, Germany TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS Familiarisation with ground segment system engineering, contribution to architectural and detailed design activities Solid experience in endtoend ground station systems for spacecraft operations Knowledge of RF systems, power amplifiers, lownoise amplifiers, frequency converters, baseband data processing, and SLE protocol Support the definition and management of ground segment interfaces including maintenance of the associated baseline Support the establishment and maintenance of endtoend systems and technical documents Support the technical analysis of changes and the assessment of their system impacts Ability to understand and accurately predict behaviour of complex systems Additionally we are looking for the following skills Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Selfstarter, able to work independently with little or no supervision Proactive and confident personality with good persuasive skills Teamplayer, able to interface with technical and management personnel Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several tasks in parallel Ability to travel to the remote ground station sites, sometimes over 23 week periods.
