The Mission The Flight Operations Project Management Support function is part of the Flight Operations Office within the Columbus Operations Division, located at the Columbus Control Centre ColCC at Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany. The main function of the Columbus Flight Operations Office is managing the integration of ISS space station tasks from their assignment to a particular timeframe to the achievement of operational readiness, and the management of the implementation of the activities. The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Management Support for the Flight Operations Office. The position includes specific duties as Maintaining a documentation management system for formal documents and correspondence document and file correspondence for NASA Change Requests, IDRD, IRD, and CCN updates and other high level ISS, HSF, and IOT documentation relevant to ESA operations tasks Support the organizational implementation of various ISS boards and reviews with ESA participation Maintain and follow up lists of ESA operational tasks, actions, identified risks and issues Independently monitor the Anomaly Reporting System and providing reports, excerpts monitor ART and MRB schedules and receive and file their reports Coordinate the IRD as main requirements document for ESA ISS operations and corresponding change notices, in support of the respective Mission Directors Independently support ESA in the coordination and preparation of all Certification of Flight Readiness CoFR activities for each stage and increment, as well as maintain the ESA CoFR process itself Independently support ESA in the coordination and preparation of the ESA certification of Flight Readiness for NASA Stage Operations Readiness Reviews SORRs Independent support the Chairman of the Mission Management Team meeting MMT and dedicated Operation meetings in the preparation of the weekly meetings by sending invitations, collecting meeting presentations and publishing them in a dedicated eroom folder, keeping minutes and the action item list for followup Coordinate PAO activities with the Communication Office and their integration in the operations community when an ESA astronaut is onboard ISS Support and followup the LessonsLearned process Organise and provide general support to facilitate the ongoing ESA and IOT operations activities at ColCC, by arranging and coordinating meetings and visits interfacing with the local hosting organization for badging, access, logistics, site services and other organizational issues. This is a fulltime position located at the ColCC in Oberpfaffenhofen, with occasional travel within Europe and a planned starting date in January 2014. Your Qualifications Applicants should have a University Degree Bachelors, equivalent qualification in Business Administration or extensive experience in Administrative Management or Project Management. Essential skills are Proficient in MS Office and Lotus Notes Good knowledge of the ESA Financial and Procurement processes and associated tools SAPbased A good knowledge of English, both in speech and writing and a working knowledge of French are required. Description Task 1 Support to Galileo Early Services system security engineering and security operations preparation The GSA shall prepare for the European Commission the Galileo exploitation programme. As part of this programme, a key activity is the preparation and provision of the Galileo Early Services, due to start in October 2014. Following the completion of the service implementation in the first Quarter 2014, a service validation is planned to start in April 2014. The objective of this task is to support the preparation activities for the Galileo Early Service provision in the area of security engineering and security operations preparation. The following tasks shall be performed Maintaining the Galileo early services related security requirements, ensuring traceability and consistency from requirements at Service provision and System level Analysis, contributions and maintenance of the classified Statement of Compliance SOC to the Early Service requirements baseline Contribute to the elaboration of Galileo security enhancement technological roadmaps Support the liaising with the stakeholders which contribute to the security of the EGNSS Services in particular EC, Member States and ESA Definition and review of security related processes and operational interfaces between the operational entities EC, ESA, GSA and external entities Documentation of security related processes, procedures and interfaces in the Galileo Service Operations Manual or other documents Support the Galileo GNSS Exploitation Program Manager for any topics related to Galileo services implementation and validation Contribute to other tasks related to Early Service implementation and validation, as necessary. The aim of this task is to support the GSA in its role for the preparation of the relevant accreditation files for the Galileo early services.
