For our activities at the European Space Operations Centre ESAESOC in Darmstadt, Germany, we are looking to recruit a temporary Junior Field Support Technician to work on the ESA Corporate IT contract for the duration of 6 month with possibility of becoming permanent thereafter. Tasks and Responsibilities The ESA Corporate IT contract provides support to all ESOC users in the areas of supporting the desktop infrastructure and in the provision, maintenance and problem solving for laptops, desktops, shared file storage, network connectivity, network printing and email to all ESA users. In addition, the group provides telephony support, fixed and mobile, and video conference support. The user community is a permanent one and has around 800 users. Due to some transition in the groups manning, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Field Support Technician on a temporary 6 months basis until the manning transition is complete. The successful candidate will assist the group members with the more mundane aspects of the groups operation. These tasks will include, but will not be restricted to imaging laptops and desktops in preparation for their deployment fixing network printer problems simple problem solving at the users desktop basic Lotus Notes configuration at the desktop telephony support database management stock management. Requirements This role offers someone new to the area of desktop support an ideal opportunity to develop hisher skills in a fast moving and busy environment. Enthusiasm, good human interfacing skills, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to help users are all prerequisites for the role, more than any technical background, although, of course, that would be an advantage. For our activities in ESRIN, we are currently looking for a PA and Safety Support Engineer. Main responsibilities You will support the Vega PA S Manager for designated projects in conducting, monitoring assessing the implementation of the PA Safety Programme for VEGA Development Programme LAUDV Vega Exploitation Programmeactivities LAUEV. You main tasks will be the following Monitor the contractors Launcher and Ground Segment PAS programme in order to assess their performanceeffectiveness, proposing the necessary preventive or corrective actions Analyse contractors Management PA plans in order to verify their compliance to ESA PA Requirements and the correct application of Management specifications Verify the proper application of industrial PA Quality Assurance plans Support preparation of project reviews and to participate to subsystem and system reviews, as requested Participate to PA and project progress meetings, organizing industrial quality meetings as requested Attend selected mandatory inspection points as MRR, TRR, TRB and acceptance reviews of deliverable items, as well as system or subsystem test campaign Attend the Boards established within the projects for the disposition of Nonconformances anomalies Provide QA support and surveillance in Subsystems and System validation tests campaigns Contribute to maintenancepreparation of the VEGA lessons learnt repository Contribute to RAMS studies followup, to check critical Point Log updates Participate to the Configuration Control Board when Change Proposals affecting PA requirements are discussed Support PA Manager in the preparation of weekly and Monthly reports Maintain the waiver data base and to manage the approval of the waivers submitted to Customer for evaluation assessment both for Development and Exploitation programmes Participate upon request to Audits of the VEGA project both as team member and as chairman. Ideal candidate Requirements As successful candidate you should have a Engineering PhD or Master degree in a relevant discipline and the following Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the aerospace domain Good interpersonal, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment Knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001 would be an asset.
