Navigation Systems Engineer

In the frame of Galileo programme, Vitrociset Belgium is supporting the European Space Agency for some system design activities aimed at the definition and design of the 2nd Generation of the system. In view of the beginning of Phase B2, we are looking for a Navigation Systems Engineer to join our team in Noordwijk, colocated at the endcustomers ESTEC premises. SPECIFIC TASKS Support to the definition and design of the Galileo 2nd Generation to ensure it provides the services defined at Mission level. Support to the design and definition of the concepts for the Galileo 2nd Generation Services provision, considering performance targets, signal design aspects, operability of the system, interfaces, and technical feasibility. Interaction with Signal, Performance and Security experts in order to gather the necessary technical details required for the analysis and design. Critical review of the system documents especially requirements and architecture and their justifications, and proposal of modifications as required. Support to documentation and justification of changes in technical requirements, ensuring the flowdown to the segments as needed Support to the writing of the statement of compliance of the to the mission requirements. Analysis and tradeoff of system concepts options through quantitative assessments considering all system analyses including security and PRS and segments initial design inputs. Definition of system use cases and system concepts for service provision, interaction with domain experts for system and design analyses, and support to the derivation of segment requirements accordingly. Assessment of the technologies necessary for the implementation of the system architecture for each System configuration, including key technologies, their associated risks, and additional required RT activities, Support to the preparation of Galileo 2nd Generation Phase B2 data package. Preparation of dedicated technical notes, favouring diagrams and drawings. Presentation of the work in technical meetings and reviews. REQUIREMENTS Master degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent Working experience in the field of GNSS, preferably in the field of signal, performance, or receiver domains Good knowledge of the Galileo system is requested, knowledge of the Galileo Evolution programme and 2nd Generation is an asset Basic knowledge of systems engineering principles layered approach, requirements definition, logical and physical architectures, traceability etc. Experience in documentation writing and previous involvement in Phase AB Knowledge of modelling language UML, SysML, LML is an asset Familiarity with modern computer systems and a handson experience with digital simulations tools like Matlab. Familiarity with project deadlines and ESA review process Ability to work in team in an international environment is a must Proactiveness and high sense of responsibility for the own work and for the overall service goals Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills The candidate must be an EU citizen and own or be eligible for a valid EU Security clearance. Electrical AIT Engineer

Position Reference 830 We are currently looking for an Electrical AIT Engineer to work at our clients premises based in important Space test facilities in a very nice countryside area, in the region of Stuttgart, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Plan and control the integration and verification activities of lunar lander spacecraft, its subsystems and payloads, overseeing their correct and timely execution, reporting results and progress to MAIT manager. Design and prepare integration and test procedures to guarantee safety and compliance with requirements, managing risks, schedule and costs. Lead execution of procedures, supervising technicians and interfacing closely with SPA department remote. Participate handson in the assembly, integration and testing activities as needed. Lead execution of electrical integration for power, data, hybrid and RF lines, conducting offload and onload power and data integration tests. Setup the provided EGSE for the different activities and maintain their configuration. Conduct functional testing of different units to verify their health. Supervise mechanical installation of units, verifying compliance to handling and grounding requirements. Maintain spacecraft configuration during its build and testing and manage the logs of procedures execution according to planning, recording the asbuilt asrun traveller records following internal standard. Contribute to a log of Design For Manufacturing and Assembly DFMA recommendations in order to feedback to engineering team for future iterations of design. Provide assistance for the nonconformance resolution process execution and completion of cause corrective action efforts. Contribute to a log of lessons learnt. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Masters Degree in engineering or technical sciences, with at least 4 years of relevant working experience. Significant experience in Product Assurance and Quality Assurance in the space domain. Good experience in the launcher domain. Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken. The following skills and experience are highly desirable Good knowledge of Configuration Management or the implementation of Product Assurance within a quality system certified to ISO 9001.
