Project Planning Engineer 1913044 Job Description We are looking for a Project Planning Engineer to support our activities with our customer EUMETSAT. The selected engineer will provide hisher experience in the area of system planning or ground segment level planning and scheduling during Phases CD of ongoing programmes, as well as support other future LEO programmes. The selected engineer will focus on defining and maintaining the system development logic, schedule and all subsystem interactions, covering the space segment satellite and instruments, ground segment, satellite application facilities, launcher service and LEOP service, as well as the corresponding operations preparation activities. The main tasks of the selected engineer will include Maintain a detailed development logic and schedule of the Ground Segment Including all the subsystems and services, consistently with overall programme constraints, and in coordination with the relevant EUMETSAT teams, contractors and partners Ensuring that the corresponding development logic and schedule remains at all times consistent with programme constraints Performing a critical path analysis of each version of the schedule Followup subsystems developments and participate in necessary meetings and reviews Track progress against agreed development plans and Interaction Documents and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with the elaboration of proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Provide inputs to the Ground Segment Plans concerning the development logic, schedule and interactions Provide regular summary reports on development progress against the development schedule and the status of interactions Identify interactions between subsystems and partnerscontractors and associate them with main development milestones and work breakdown structure. Prepare and maintain Interactions Documents, defining interactions between subsystems, together with their need dates. Interactions will cover such areas as Deliverables hardware, software, databases, documentation, algorithms, test data sets, tools, configuration statuses Support mutual review support, joint test and operational rehearsals preparation and execution, test data analyses Access to services, sites, facilities, infrastructure and interfaces Manage the configuration of the Ground Segment Schedule and Interactions Documents versions, as requested On request, provide consultancy on planning activities within the organisation.
