Norwegian payment systems Vipps, BankAxept and BankID plan to merge

(Telecompaper) Norway's banks have signed a declaration of intent to merge the payment systems Vipps, BankAxept and BankID Norge, according to a report by news agency ANB-NTB (Avisenes Nyhetsbyra-Norsk Telegrambyra). The aim is to have the merged entity up and running by 01 August, and there are plans to compete on the international market, too. The deal will require competition authority approval.

A vacancy for a Telecom Systems Advanced Payload Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Portsmouth. The Telecom Payload System Engineering team is responsible for providing engineering support to telecom payload projects to payload RD activities and to the development of advanced payload products. A vacancy is open for a position of Advanced Payload Engineer within the team based in Portsmouth. The responsibilities include the design of advanced payload architecture for telecom satellites the contribution to the definition of future payload products and the handson involvement in stateofthe art projects within the global leader of the telecom satellite market. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Support the telecom proposals team Provide payload system engineering expertise support to bids Analyse customers requirements and take responsibility for the design of a solution meeting these requirements When where needed assist in the capture and formalisation of the missions specification Identify the main payload design to cost tradeoffs, risks and opportunities Propose innovative approach and scope initial subsystems and equipment requirements to deliver the mission Support the workload estimate process for all RF system engineering work packages Generate payload frequency plans, block diagrams, analyses e.g. EIRP, GT etc. and associated hardware lists. Carryout initial performance analysis. Generate the payload mission redline or statement of compliance and, where necessary, supporting customer negotiations Support ongoing projects From customisation phase to PDR Act as payload design manager during the initial phase of the project customisation phase Take part to the equipment specification definition with a particular focus on new nonstandard equipment and advanced subsystems Take part to the performance analysis of the payload Take part to the preparation of the Preliminary Design Review data pack Support PDR and interact with the customer as required Support ongoing projects from PDR to AIT Take responsibility for an advanced subsystem or dedicated complex analysis calibration digital payload performance analysis etc. and support the given work package through to the critical design review CDR As required, take part to the test requirements specification for the given advanced subsystem and manage its industrialisation Support the assembly, integration and test phase reporting results to the customer and supporting investigation of noncompliance Support of the advanced subsystem at spacecraft level during environmental test might also be needed involvement in IOT might occasionally be required Support Telecom RD and Airbus Innovation Support the RD plan established by the Telecom business division take responsibility for work packages and report to the RD project manager Prepare study reports and support technical meetings Contribute to the identification of new topics of interest both for RD and for innovation Airbus BlueBox process Demonstrate product and market knowledge by taking part to relevant workshops and initiatives focused on the definition of Airbus future products contribute to the definition and implementation of development roadmap We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Qualification A degree in Telecommunications Electrical, Electronic engineering, mathematics or physics Desirable RFmicrowaveradio communications content in academic background Technical Knowledge Knowledge of Satellite Communications systems understanding of the current and future market from a commercial and customer perspective Previous experience in advanced payload design and knowledge of systems level requirements for advanced payload Extended experience in Microwave high frequency RF engineering and or digital signal processing Extended experience with modelling software used in the context of RF Systems design RF systems performance analysis such as Matlab Simulink ADS HFSS etc. andor any other relevant tool would be a plus Skills and attributes Ability to work within a complex multiple stakeholders environment Demonstrable verbal and written communication skills at ease with colleagues within the engineering community project management team but also customers and suppliers Strong analytical skills Capable of working autonomously against tight deadlines typical example proposals support Capable of integrating quickly to a diverse and international team the Telecom Business Division is split across 3 sites Toulouse Portsmouth and Stevenage This role may involve business travel sometimes at short notice and as such you must be able to travel accordingly Please apply for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached. One of our Space Clients based in the UK are seeking an Optical Systems and AIV Engineer to lead in the design and delivery of a variety of Optical Payloads. This opportunity would allow an engineer to be involved in all aspects of the development including the Assembly, Integration and Verification making use of high performance equipment such as Interferometers, CMMs, as well as bespoke test and alignment equipment. Our client has developed a range of Earth Observation payloads which are currently flying on existing missions. These include both reflective and refractive optical systems that cover a range of applications such as Agriculture, Forestry, Risk Management, Disaster Monitoring, Maritime, Defence and Security. Previously launched missions have included DMC3 was a 3 satellite constellation of high resolution imagers, 1m PAN, 4m Multispectral GSD and 24 km swath Alsat1B hosting a 24m multispectral and 12 m panchromatic GSD imager Carbonite1, a 1m GSD with a swath width of 5 km. The imager was a commercialoffthe shelf telescope adapted for space We are currently working on our next generation of Earth Observation Imagers Key Tasks Development of spaceborne optical systems within a multidisciplinary team performing optical instrument system design, being the technical point of contact for the relevant optical systems. Design and development of optical systems from concept through to manufacture, system integration and verification. Management of new optical solutions including the programmatic and technical aspects of work packages relevant to area of expertise. Define and own technical requirements specifications for optical payload systems, including trade analysis of these requirements working closely with the spacecraft system engineer to identify derived requirements Development planning, budget and schedule management Ownership of risk registers and appropriate mitigation as agreed with the project manager The ability to pragmatically review and critique optical systems for application in space, balancing technical requirements with programmatic and budget constraints Assembly, Integration and Verification of optical instruments within a cleanroom environment Optical and mechanical alignment of instruments Building of Optical, Mechanical and Electrical ground support equipment Operation of equipment such as Interferometers, CMMs, Thermal Vacuum Chamber, MTF rig, Integrating Spheres, etc Qualifications MSc in Optics, Physics or engineering ideally with proven related practical optical or spacecraft experience Experience Comprehensive knowledge of Optical Engineering, applied to space applications, coupled with a working knowledge of other engineering disciplines e.g. electronics, electrooptical device physics and optomechanics. Knowledge and experience of other spacecraft systems would be an advantage The candidate should have basic optomechanical knowledge to aid in optical system development. Knowledge in materials and component selection, in the space domain. End to end Optical Engineering knowledge and experience including Requirements Engineering and Trade offs Electrooptomechanical Design and Analysis Integration of Optical Systems preferably including Space Systems Knowledge Skills Optical design experience with proficiency in Zemax and knowledge of design software such as Solidworks is desirable Familiarity with optics and optical testing methodologies Selfmotivated, creative, high attention to detail and accountable Ability to work autonomously or within project teams and a real company player Good communication skills Ability to work under pressure in an organised and responsive manner Knowledge of spacecraft systems design would be an advantage including materials Creative problem solving Ability to plan and manage own work
