Moreover, we actively manage your professional development, training and career progression. We are looking for a Data Systems Management Engineer fm to work at ESOC Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks The successful candidate will be responsible for the preliminary development of the JUICEMCS, based on MICONYSCCM4C in the context of the EGOSCC Project. Shehe may be requested to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, projects and activities within the scope of overall Mission Data Systems services. Specific requirements Contribution to review and update of the delta JUICE MCS Technical Specification UNDSSDD Definition of the architectural design of the EGOSCC based JUICE MCS Support in identifying functional gaps between EGOSCC and those needed by JUICE MCS Identification of requirements which are considered generic to be done under EGOSCC, generic but to be implemented under JUICE MCS and to be repatriated at a later date in EGOSCC, and JUICE specific, which may or may not be made generic and to be repatriated eventually to EGOSCC Setting up of a development environment at ESOC for developing JUICE MCS Implementation of new EGOSCC based components to satisfy JUICE requirements Extending, configuring andor tailoring of existing MICONYSCC components to satisfy JUICE requirements Support EGOSCC and JUICE MCS Reviews Essential requirements Ability to understand and accurately predict behavior of complex systems Familiarity with continuous integration activities and tooling Excellent knowledge of the Java language Concrete understanding of the principles of component based software engineering Good working knowledge of the Eclipse development Environment Excellent knowledge of the ESOC Monitoring and Control Systems and satellite operations. Desirable requirements Good working knowledge of the EGOSCC based Products definition in particular OPENCC and MICONYSCC Experience in writing software requirements Good working knowledge of the following Java frameworks OSGi, Blueprint, Maven, RCP Familiarity with the ESOC working environment Other Information Start date is 01012018

Callisto is an international engineering consultancy and equipment development company in the field of satellite communications. Callisto has been working with EUMETSAT for over 20 years and has contributed to all of the major programmes of his organisation to date MTP, MSG, EPS, MTG and EPS SG. Callisto is a small engineering company depending on team spirit, valuing and investing in our employees development and oriented towards a culture of quality and efficiency which is good for our clients and good for our staff. Working as a consultant system interfaces engineer on the design and implementation of a complex space system project for one of Europes flagship space projects for the 21st century. The System Engineering team handles the complex task of stitching together major functional elements and ensuring endtoend performance with large volumes of data flow. Working to established standards and procedures ECSS and using advanced tools for management of complex systems DOORS, the System Interfaces Engineer will be responsible for defining and controlling interfaces between functional elements, verifying that high level system requirements are flowed down and implemented correctly in the system model, system design integrity is maintained and optimised throughout the development process. The profile of candidate we are seeking is as follows University degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in the field of engineering of space andor ground system. Experience of large space systems space and ground segment. Experience of interface management and definition. Familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition. Demonstrated capability to prepare and manage IRD and ICD. Additionally, experience in the following would be considered an advantage Experience in the area of LowEarth Orbiting satellites LEO. Experience in CORE design tool from Vitech. Experience with DOORs. The tasks and responsibilities of the successful candidate to be undertaken during the EPSSG Phase CD will typically include the following Coordination and definition of technical interfaces with the external partners and service providers Organisehold meetings and workshops with external and major internal interface partners to establish interface detailsagreements Maintain Interface Requirement Documents IRDs for all system interfaces using DOORs. Identify the mechanisms to be used for detailed ICD definition eg use of XML etc Generate and maintain the system Interface Control Documents ICD. Provide support to general system engineering activities Analysis and trade off activities Preparation and maintenance of system technical specification, documentation of system design and justification, ad hoc internal reviews, support to progress meetings, support IVV activities We are seeking employees who are motivated and flexible who are available to start work in Germany in early 2018. Applicants must be EU citizens or have a valid work and residence permit for Germany. Callisto provides employment contracts conforming to German labour legislation.
