2019-12-04 18:10:02| EmergingTextiles.com
PTA prices have continued to decline in the past seven days in the Far East, over a rise in production capacities in the last months. PTA and paraxylene producers are confronted with a dramatic fall in their operating profits, amid surging international competition. Polyester prices could slide to lower levels as a result. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA, and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.
