Polyester chain prices may slightly recover in the coming weeks, after crude oil prices have sharply rebounded in the last days, with the Brent even rising above $50 per barrel to a 4-month high. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Asia, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices. Asian Contract Prices (ACPs) are also available for the PX, PTA and MEG markets in Asia, with 5-year charts and downloadable historical data.

Viscose fiber prices have continued to slightly climb in the last seven days in China, ahead of National Day holidays. The long-term rally could however end in October. Our weekly report covers the viscose/rayon staple fiber and filament markets over the last 12 months. Viscose spun yarn prices are also available. Cotton linter, cotton pulp and wood pulp prices on domestic and import markets are being tracked over the last 12 months, in addition.

Polyester prices are stable in China, as demand remains unusually weak ahed of October holidays. Inventories are kept at low levels, as uncertainty prevails. Our weekly report covers the Polyester Staple Fiber (PSF) and Polyester Filament Yarn (PFY) prices on the domestic market, including a price comparison of polyester staple fibers with cotton and viscose. The gross margin of polyester spun yarn producers is also released.
