Polyester chain prices have stayed firm in the last two weeks, in line with a global oil market supported by rising diplomatic ternsion in the Middle East. Prices could however continue dropping in the coming months over excess supply. Our weekly report covers the polyester chain in Eastern Asia and in India, including PX (paraxylene), PTA (purified terephthalic acid), MEG (mono-ethylene glycol), polyester chips, and polyester staple and filament prices.
