Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Study of Project specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Software Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support Service OnBoard Software Maintenance Support Service Production of Project specific Software Validation and Satellite Interface Validation Test SVT Procedures, Reports and Participation in SVTs Participation in the System Operations Validation Test SOV, Training and Simulation Programmes Participation in Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP and Mission Critical Operations General Flight Control Support Service including Spacecraft Performance Analysis Testing of MCS and related ancillary systems software releases Testing of operational products, such as procedures, MIB, Mission planning files Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Spacecraft subsystem knowledge AOCSDHOBSMPowerThermalTTCPayload Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Experience in science operations and interfacing with instrument Principle Investigators Science Operations Centers Familiarity with SCOS 2000 based MCS and relevant associated subsystems DABYS. As a full member of our excellent SOE team, you will deliver a state of the art spacecraft operations for the Sentinel3 constellation. Beside the routine operation of the Sentinel3 AB satellites, you will be involved in the preparation and early operations phases of the Sentinel3 C mission. Your software engineering skills are key in developing and validating Sentinel3s innovative set of operational tools. As be part of our SOE team working at customer premises enabling fast paced space operations including oncall and callout phases. Perform trending and performance analysis on the corresponding subsystems and instruments. Investigation into satellite anomalies. Participation in satellite oncall support rota. Identification and support to the implementation of system and process improvements in the team. Develop and validate Sentinel3s innovative set of operational tools. Support the systems and operations preparation of the Sentinel3 C satellite. QualificationsExperience You hold a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering or any other related area. You have 2 years or more of experience working in satellite operations and operations preparation. You have proven experience in software engineering, in particular Python. You are familiar with satellite mission controls systems for LEO satellite systems, especially SCOS2000. Last, but not least your experience in Earth Observation Missions will be a huge plus! Crucial Skills Software engineering expertise Python, Django, relational databases. Satellite operations expertise. Experience with system and operational concepts. Spacecraft Operations Engineer for OPSSAT 2023021 Job Description We are looking to expand our team supporting our customer ESOC with an additional Spacecraft Operations Engineer for the OPSSAT mission. OPSSAT, a CubeSat launched in December 2019, aims at testing and validating new techniques in mission control and onboard systems. OPSSAT provides an inorbit testbed environment for the deployment of different experiments to test new protocols, new algorithms, and new techniques.
