ResponsibilitiesDuties The general activities are the following Development and maintenance of Mission Control Applications following formal software engineering processes MICONYS Suite e.g. SCOS2000, DARC, FARC,GFTS,SPMON etc. This includes user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation and maintenance activities Interfacing with the technical officers QualificationsExperience Software engineer with minimum 3 years experience in the development, operation maintenance of satellite control systems e.g. SCOS2000, EGSCC Essential Skills Fluency in English Experience minimum 3 years in the full cycle of development and maintenance of Mission Control Applications following formal software engineering processes. This includes user and system requirement analysis, software requirement engineering, software design, implementation and maintenance activities. Experience in the definition of Ground Segment system level requirements and production of system architectural design artefacts in the domain of the Mission Control Applications. Experience in the definition of software requirements and architectural design and implementation of Spacecraft Monitoring Control applications. Under the direction of the CS GmbHs project manager the key person will be part of our software developers team. These team activities are dedicated to Mission Control Systems MCS maintenance and development activities. The successful candidate will be assigned to the following tasks among others Software development Studies and prototyping of concepts Bug fixing Anomaly investigation and design of resolutions Intensive test and validation activities Onsite support for critical operation phases Profile At least three years in software development or maintenance in the space environment. Junior with a good technical background could be considered Academic background University degree in Computer Science or similar Technical skills Good level in Java programming. Good knowledge in at least one of the following OSGi, Eclipse RCP Skills in scripting language as Shell, Python Knowledge in at least one of the following JDBCSQL, MySQL, MariaDB Good background in UnixLinuxWindows environments Knowledge of GIT, SVN Knowledge of CCSDS standard would be valuable. Knowledge in CORBA, RMI would be an advantage. Knowledge in Docker container would be an advantage.
