We are looking to further enhance our team by adding a Ground System Verification Engineer You will be based initially for 3 months at our clients headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. Your Tasks The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing test procedures for the verification of requirements of the MTG ground segment. The following tasks are required Review and Update of Test Specifications Review and update the Test Specifications for MTG GS verification for the activities planned in particular verify The completeness of the test specification against the extent of testing foreseen in the GSIVP and GSVCD Consistency if the test specifications with respect to the relevant objectives, ie functions, interfaces, requirements to be verified, and with respect to the configuration to be used, including facilities, MMEs, test tools, test data, relevant environments and infrastructure elements. The compatibility of the time planned for the execution of the tests with the availability of the configuration elements and estimated test duration The suitability of the test specification for the generation of test procedures and test data Generation of Test Procedures The following test procedures are required to be produced MC Chain Verification 2 IDPF L2PF integration procedures The test procedures shall be based on the test specifications and provide additional detailed information needed for the execution of each test case, and the assessment of the outcome. They shall contain step by step instructions, identify the requirements or design aspects to be verified, the outputs to be collected the analysis to be performed, the passfail criteria Identification of Required Test Tools and Data During the finalisation of test specifications, the planned utilization of test tools shall be verified. This shall identify any needs for additional tools to be able to execute the full set of tests foreseen. A similar exercise will be undertaken for test data. Adaptation or Development of Required Test Tools and Data Upon review and approval of the plan for the implementation of test tools and data by our Client, their development and preparation shall be performed. Execution of IVV Tests Based on the current schedule, the following tests are planned MC Chain verification preparation IDPF L2PF integration procedures Your Profile The following mandatory experience is required Experience in integration and verification of complex software systems including the development and execution of test procedures Experience in requirement engineering and verification Excellent communication skills both written and spoken. Documentation is to be provided in English, so strong technical English writing skills are required Flexible able to cope with a changing work schedule and load Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary environment Integration and verification of SCOS2000 based mission control systems and related products, satellite simulators, satellite ground stations The following experience is highly desirable Integration and verification of earth observation data processing systems involving level0 to level2 data products. LSE Space GmbH is looking for engineers to support an onsite service at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany for Payload Data Ground Segment Systems Engineer Payload Data Ground Segment IVV Engineer Job Description We are looking for a Payload Data Ground Segment Systems Engineer for our client EUMETSAT. Your core support will be to activities mainly corresponding to various stages of the Detailed Design Phase C of a given programme under definition and development, and Phase D Implementation and Validation, as contribution to Integration, Verification and Validation. The main emphasis is on the payload data ground segment of the EPSSG programme. This covers payload data acquisition ground stations and data processing elements. You shall perform typical system engineering activities in the lifecycle of a system, such as Requirements engineering mainly related to the verification processes, and encompassing downward and upward traceability, allocation and apportionment, and management with respect to verification control databases and the verification process. Design defining the conceptual build and configuration which results in a physical architecture, described by its complete functional, physical and software characteristics. Planning, preparation and execution of integration and verification, with the final objective to demonstrate that the deliverables conform to the specified requirements. Specifically for ground segment phase C and D, the Contractor shall provide engineering service for the following engineering activities Requirements engineering in DOORS. This includes review, specification and refinement of existing requirements, their uptraces to parent Ground Segment specifications, justifications and verification methods. Support to the procurement of payload data acquisition processing elements by advising on technical solutions proposed by the responsible contractors, and by reviewing documentation to confirm its compliance with the requirements. Refinement of ICDs, especially those between payload data acquisition processing elements and other GS functions. Support to the preparation and execution of the testing, integration and acceptance of procured elements. Support to the installation of ground segment elements at sites, and their integration into the overall Ground Segment system. Verification and validation IVV of the integrated Ground Segment Review of System, Space Segment and Ground Segment documentation dealing with requirements, concepts, algorithms and technical analyses of relevance for data processing, including review of calibration concepts defined by the Space Segment with emphasis on their implications on Ground Segment data processing concepts, interfaces and architecture Participation in formal reviews and technical meetings at System and Ground Segment level. Systems Engineer you shall have demonstrated experience in the above requirements, with emphasis on overall systems engineering aspects of payload data ground segments. IVV Engineer you shall have demonstrated experience in the above requirements, with emphasis on IVV of payload data ground segments. Required Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.System engineering practices and processes, especially in the field of space systems engineering, including knowledge of ECSS standards and system life cycle processes. Extensive experience in payload data ground segments for large and complex Earth Observation missions, including L1L2 processing software. Management and traceability of complex requirements structures and the management of their verification via VCDs. Preparation of ground segment documentation relating to requirements engineering, design, and IVV planning and execution. Travel within Europe and worldwide may be required. You shall be in a position to attend, on a short notice, reviews and progress meetings held outside EUMETSAT premises. The ability to maintain a system overview is essential. There shall be a systematic approach to the work, and the ability to plan the work and to cope with tight schedules and multiple tasks. Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation is essential, as is the ability to rapidly absorb, and make use of, information presented in written and oral communications in a dynamic context. The seniority level requires to have at least 5 years of demonstrated experience Desirable Skills and Experience Experience with DOORS tool.
