A vacancy for a Thermal Fluid Product Analysis Engineer mf has opened up within Airbus Defence and Space at its Toulouse site. In the Engineering and Products entity, within the Mechanical Engineering Directorate, you will join the Design Office and will be in charge of performing detailed sizing analyses and will contribute to the Justification Dossier for thermal and fluid structures typical applications include propulsion reservoir, liquid expulsion device, capillary fluid loop, etc.. Within this scope, you will be in charge of Contributing to the design Defining the work plan for detailed fluid and thermal analyses Establishing the mathematical model Calculating all safety margins Drafting the detailed sizing note and contributing to the Justification Dossier Interfacing with the Designer and reporting on the analysis activities Taking part in upstream RD activities for different technologies. Over time, you will have the opportunity to progress to management positions for EngineeringThermofluidics product development within the department. As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies Engineering 5year degree in Mechanical Engineering, andor FluidThermal mechanics, Initial experience in analyses and studies in the domain of fluid and thermal mechanics, Proficiency in the basics of space thermal and fluid mechanics, Knowledge of modelling methods isotherm nodes, finite differences, etc., And ideally IT knowledge Unix, Linux and programming skills Python, Awk, Fortran, Knowledge of satellite thermal control principles, Knowledge of modelling tools SYSTEMA and ESATAN TMG, Ability to summarise and make decisions meticulousness, Good interpersonal and communication skills written and oral and an autonomous approach, Ability to integrate into a team and adapt well, An advanced level of English and French. A vacancy for a Mission Analysis Flight Dynamics Studies Engineer mf has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the AOCSGNC Flight Dynamics Development department. As the study engineer, you will be involved in Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics studies for satellite and space projects in the development phase, for various applicative domains like Earth Observation e.g. Spot 67 and Perusat programmes, etc., Geostationary satellites or constellations e.g. Measat 3B, DTV15, Eutelsat 172B, etc.. You will conduct Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamic activities for programmes in the development phase and will therefore be in charge of the following activities Orbit dynamic analysis analysing and selecting orbits according to mission needs, predicting trajectories, strategizing injections and transfers and trading off and optimising manoeuvers, Flight dynamics ground software development participating with the continuous improvement of inhouse flight dynamic tools, manoeuver computation and orbit restitution modules, defining the customisation and automation framework for Graphical User Interfaces and interfacing with satellite control centre operations, As the Flight Dynamics specialist, participating with the Launch and Early Operation phases and providing functional expertise support for satellite endoflife reorbit operations. DEIMOS is selecting one senior engineer to be integrated in the Mission Analysis Competence Centres of the Flight Systems Business Unit at our British branch, to support new growth areas in Mission Analysis. The work of the Mission Analysis Competence Centre is oriented to the design, development, specification and validation of mission concepts and SW tools, for several scenarios, from interplanetary, Earth observation, scientific, navigation. Opportunities to perform onsite collocations in ESA sites ESTEC, ESOC might be proposed to the candidate. Main Duties The following types of responsibilities are envisioned Development of novel MA tools to support the Mission Engineering processese.g. launchers, suborbital and reentry vehicles, satellite rendezvous, active debris removal, Earth observation, navigation Involvement in Mission Engineering and RD projects Education Required A recognized engineering degree Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic or a related degree e.g. Physics Desired Postgraduate studies M.Sc or Ph.D with a focus on aeronautical aerospace engineering and providing a solid background in at least two of the following Flight orbital dynamics Trajectory optimisation low thrust will be an asset.
