As the Communication Services Team Leader, you will support the planning, development, deployment and operations of the network infrastructure, services and solutions responding to current and future needs. Duties Lead a team of communications systems engineers, including setting objectives, managing performance, keeping key skills up to date, planning the activities and reporting to management Contribute to defining and maintaining the roadmap for the consolidated EUMETSAT communication network infrastructure, securing operational continuity while planning the required evolutions Design, implement and deliver scalable network solutions with the associated infrastructure, fulfilling the availability, resilience and security requirements of the current operational systems Translate specific business needs of internal customers into network requirements, in the context of the development of new ground segments for future satellite systems Coordinate the maintenance of EUMETSAT communication network systems and services, including 2nd3rd level investigations and problem resolution Manage service contracts and interact with suppliers of network products and services. Qualifications A university degree in a relevant engineering discipline e.g. telecommunications, network systems, etc. or equivalent. This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organisations Member and Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide. EUMETSAT also operates several Copernicus missions on behalf of the European Union and provide data services to the Copernicus marine and atmospheric services and their users.
