The Challenge We are looking for AIT Engineer to be located at the customer site, in Darmstadt, Germany. The AIT Engineer Mission Control System Integration and Verification would join Terma GmbHs activity as a full time employee, supporting the routine ground segment operations of our customers lowearth orbiting and geostationary satellites as well as contributing to operational preparation for future missions. Prime responsibilities relate to integration and verification testing of the monitoring and control system, with additional support for integration and verification activities at mission control function level, including flight dynamics and mission planning systems. JOB DESCRIPTION Product Processing Integration Engineer for the EPS Data and Product Processing Facilities As members of the SEP LEO Mission Data Processing Operational Applications maintenance team, the Key Person shall support the maintenance and evolution of the EPS Ground Segment, specifically the development and integration of new PPF. The application software is mainly developed in C and a good experience in C is therefore mandatory. For the PPF support knowledge of C will be needed in addition. The Key Persons duties will include a range of tasks, from the support of the day to day operation and maintenance, the analysis, design, development and testing of the facilities which also includes the handling of anomalies, upgrades and configuration changes for these facilities. The Key Person will be the focal point when it comes to integrating each individual Product Processing Facility into a system context, covering all aspects from early SW development, definition of interfaces, system integration and testing, and end to end testing of the production system. Tasks will also contain the settingup and implementation of maintenance policies and procedures as well as the coordination with external providers of maintenance services. In support to operations, the Key Person may also be required to provide on call support as partof a team of maintenance engineers. Besides the above described routine tasks, the Key Person will also be expected to contribute to design and system engineeringreengineering activities in the field of science data processing that will become necessary for existing and future production systems. Candidate areas are programmes such as Jason, Saral, EARS, Sentinel 3, etc. Responsibilities Duties Tasks Typically tasks will include 1. Contribute to the definition and design of architectures of data processing ground segments and their components, their interfaces, and the validation and verification methods. 2.
