For our business unit SPACE unit in BochumGermany we are looking for Ground Station System Engineer mw Where were you when the Columbus Module was placed at the International Space Station, when the first Galileo Satellite Navigation satellites entered into service or when the Rosetta mission European probe Philae as the first manmade object ever landed on a comet? We can tell you where we were Right in the middle of it. As a renowned specialist for space projects SCISYS has supported more than 50 national and international space missions so far. We install and maintain Ground Stations, Receiving and Data Processing Systems for satellite data worldwide. In this context we are looking for a new colleague to support our projects. Your Tasks Technical planning and documentation of RF frontends, antennas and ground stations Installation, commissioning, acceptance testing and maintenance of ground stations System training for customers and users Design and test of circuits for the integration of tracking antenna systems Site survey and selection of locations of antenna systems Preparation, evaluation of tender documents for Ground Stations Management of ground station subcontracts within ground system projects Your Profile Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering, Communication or an equivalent Excellent technical knowledge of antenna systems and ground stations including the measurement technology Practical experience in antenna performance measurement e.g. pointing accuracy, GT etc. spectrum analyser Good knowledge of OS, Linux and Windows Fluent in English Organised and structured way of working Independent and team oriented Flexibility and willing to travel Our offer An interesting entrance to the sector of space and earth observation A job with lots of opportunities for bring in in your own ideas and personality A company culture based on team spirit, trust and enthusiasm Do you want to meet us? Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include You will be reviewing the technical documentation for new GCS activities and ensure consistency with system level documentation You will be interfacing with ESA and GSOP for aspects related to operability improvements to be injected in the GCS You will be reviewing the technical documentation generated by technical assistance SETA team for aspects related to GCS You will be interfacing with ESA and with security on service level requirements implementation You will be participating to the GCS evolutions development reviews and CCB relevant to the tasks under herhis responsibility You will be supporting the qualification reviews of new releases of the ground segment up to services rollout You will be interfacing with ESA at projectGS CCB level. You will be contributing to the analysis of anomalies raised by GSOp and participate to the relevant ARBNRB for aspects related to GMS Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have University degree in an Engineering discipline. You have at least 3 years of experience within Galileo Control Segment GCS activities. You have at least 3 years experience of contract management or project management.
