We are looking for an Engineer with minimum 4 years experience in TTC system design and development of Ground Stations for Earth Observation satellites. The position is permanent and fulltime and fully located on customer side in EUMETSAT, Darmstadt, Germany. Submission deadline for applicants is 15th of March. The expected start date is between April and June. RESPONSIBILITIESDUTIES The tasks of the Key person will typically include Engineering activities of Phase B of future ground segments in the areas of Ground Stations, RF and Telecommunications mainly for supporting EPSSG and JasonCS activities The follow up of the detailed design and development activities of Phase CD of the future ground segments in the areas of Ground Stations, RF and Telecommunications The maintenance and evolution in phase E to the other programmes within EUMETSAT MSG, EPS, Jason, ,.. in the areas of Telecommunications, RF and Ground Stations, The consultant will be a member of a multidisciplinary system engineering team and will. QUALIFICATIONSEXPERIENCE Engineer with minimum 4 years experience in TTC system design and development of Ground Stations for Earth Observation satellites. ESSENTIAL SKILLS Fluency in English Ground stations system and subsystem design and development for TTC Ground stations system and subsystem design and development for mission specific andor satellite communications ground stations TTC baseband equipment and SLE compliant implementations Technical background in the specification and VV of ground stations and large antennas and tracking systems for LEO and GEO satellites ACU and receivers inclusive Knowledge of modulationdemodulation schemes applied by Ground to Space ICD for TTC and payload data transmission e.g. ECSS and CCSDS Standards. DESIRABLE SKILLS Competence and experience in the engineering processes for managing requirements from the definition phase through the traceability, verification, validation and maintenance stages using formal methods and tools e.g. DOORs Design and requirements engineering of large and complex Earth Observation related ground stations Usage of High Data Rate Demodulators System experience with Link budget analysis and tools in S, X and Ka Band.
