EGNOS deployment engineer

Closing date 26th July 2017 Our customer ESOC is searching for a key person to support the EGNOS V2V3 Deployment activities. It includes supervision of site activities for V3 RIMS sites, NLES sites, MCC sites, OCC site and for V242 several new RIMS sites integration plus existing RIMS sites upgrades and other EGNOS site upgrades justified by EGNOS equipment HW obsolescence resolution, in order to maintain EGNOS infrastructure and improve the EGNOS service coverage at the current footprint boundary. It covers all phases of the deployment, from site inspection and evaluation to final acceptance of the installation, as per applicable deployment process defined in V2 and V3 programs. Support Service shall be delivered with a Service team representative integrated in EGNOS Project Office site in Toulouse, France, and shall be regularly coordinated with onsite Service Teams at ESOC, Darmstadt PROFILE Mandatory skills University degree in a relevant engineering field, astronomy, mathematics or physics Skills to apply their knowledge to develop solutions to technical mathematical and dynamical problems in cooperation with customers, public Agencies and Institutions and other experts Ability to define, implement, validate and operate software which applies the above solutions using e.g. Unix andor Linux scripting languages, Fortran 77 andor 95, C Will to take operational responsibility and leadership in multidiscipline teams Fluency in English, both in speech and writing Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Ability to work independently Desirable skills Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarityexperience with Navigation equipment design development and operations engineering tasks Experience dealing with external interfaces Experience with OracleSolaris andor Linux, network services and protocols, and system administration The ability to multitask efficiently working on multiple activities, multiple subsystems and if applicable multiple missions simultaneously.

EGNOS Exploitation Department Traineeship

The European GNSS Agency GSA announces a traineeship opportunity for European students and graduates. The trainee will support the daily operations of the EGNOS Exploitation Department of the Agency. The traineeship will take place at the GSA headquarters in Janovskho 4382, Prague 7, Czech Republic and shall last preferably from 1 September 2017 to 28 February 2018. The traineeship contract will be concluded for 6 months, which may be extended for further 3 months maximum twice or further 6 months maximum once. The maximum duration of the contract is therefore 12 months. However the GSA reserves the right to conclude individual contracts according to which the traineeship commencementend will deviate from the above dates specified. The incumbent will work closely with the EGNOS System Security Accreditation engineer and the EGNOS System Security Design Engineer colocated in Toulouse but as well as with the GNSS Security team located at Estec.
