You will join the Thermal Mechanical Analysis and Test department and you will be in charge of performing mechanical analysis activities for Space Systems products satellites, platforms, instruments, mechanisms, antennas, etc. and participating in mechanical tests. You will be responsible for the following activities Modelling of the structures studied Performing mechanical analyses static or dynamic at system level and predicting performance, during tests, launches and in flight Participating in mechanical tests Correlating test results with calculations and recalibrating models Participating in reviews and investigations Participating in the departments RD activities, with project responsibilities . We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Engineering degree or university equivalent in Mechanics Some experience in mechanical engineering Design Office, design, stress, etc. Knowledge of continuum mechanics and material strength Knowledge of structure dynamics, vibrations, acoustics, impacts and structure design Knowledge of finite element modelling and NASTRAN finite element numerical analysis software or equivalent SAMCEF, ANSYS, etc. Knowledge of MATLAB, Python andor C IT development tools would be a plus Advanced level of English and an intermediate level of French. Our client is looking for Mechanical Satellite AIT engineers to work in Holland on their Satellite Program. Your Tasks Island lead of a team of two engineers. Island planning, organization and control. Mechanical assembly and integration of satellite structural parts and subsystems. Requirements engineering. Test case definition. Test specification and procedure generation as well as test report generation. Delegated Quality Assurance tasks like e.g., Key Inspection Points, standard inspections, mating logs, asruns, procedure variations, NonConformance Reports, Problem Reports. Your Qualifications A degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace technology, physics or comparable qualification. At least four years of experience in the satellite AIT or test field. Knowledge of ECSS Standards for Mechanical Engineering. Experience in working with mechanical tool kits and MGSE. Experience in mechanical assembly of satellite structures, including propulsion systems and RF would be desirable. High motivation and commitment to the project. Used to tough project targets and challenges. Welldeveloped communication skills and hands onmentality. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and able to work under time pressure. The ESA Telerobotics Haptics Laboratory is an engineering and research laboratory of the European Space Agency targeted at performing fundamental research, developments and at enabling future space robotic projects. The Laboratory is collaborating closely with Delft University of Technology, where a number of Ph.D. Students and RD projects are coordinated. This position is associated with the HHaptics project, initiated by the University of Delft. It is the primary purpose of this position of MechanicalMechatronic Design Engineer, to support the HHaptics Project No. 5 Multimodal Space Robotics Teleoperation for Uncertainty Robustness in HumanRobot and RobotEnvironment Variations by supporting and implementing the mechanical design of a novel haptic exoskeleton prototype. The engineer in this role will be performing CAD design and supervision of manufacturing and integration of latest state of the art mechatronic devices. Additionally, the engineer in this position will design and contribute to specifications and requirements definition of hardware prototypes of the laboratory. The novel exoskeleton shall be compatible with usage onboard the International Space Station. You will perform mechanical integration harness wiring and performance testing of satellite payloads. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Perform payload equipment component receiving inspection, preparation kits, assembly installation for test andor flight configuration. Waveguide and Units Assembly on various thermal fillers, encompassing skilled fitting operations Document and complete work according to company procedures SignoffComplete daily integration log and Work Instruction Connectivity Log, etc. Perform tie base installation using various 2 part adhesives Prepare, use, apply, handle and dispose of chemical and hazardous substances such as thermal filler, silver epoxy, Araldite, Electrodag and Solithane Perform Mechanical Ground Support Equipment handling and lifting operations Prepare, clean, route, secure and mating torque flight and test RF coax cables DC harnesses installation and removal of DC Cannon connectors Know and perform harnesssecuring methods such as fibreglass taping, tie wraps, lacing chord, tie bases.
