000 ABNT20 KNHC 041747 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 PM EDT Thu Oct 4 2018 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Leslie, located over the central Atlantic Ocean. A broad low pressure area centered near the northeastern coasts of Nicaragua and Honduras is producing an extensive area of disorganized clouds and thunderstorms over the central and western Caribbean Sea, as well as portions of Central America. While surface pressures are relatively low in the area, upper-level winds are currently not favorable for tropical cyclone formation. A large cyclonic gyre, defined by a broad area of low pressure typical of this time of the year, covers a portion of Central America and the western Caribbean Sea and is producing an extensive area of disorganized clouds and thunderstorms. While surface pressures are relatively low in the area, upper-level winds are currently not favorable for tropical cyclone formation. 159 ABPZ20 KNHC 041140 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Thu Oct 4 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Sergio, located several hundred miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located over portions of Central America and the extreme eastern Pacific is associated with a broad area of low pressure. Some slow development of this system is possible over the next several days as the low drifts northward and northwestward near Central America.
